Yeah I just threw it out there for the heck of it. It's not a very strong correlation, but it kind of shows how the bigger the weekend, the more interest there is in the Derby in general. For example, the # of players exploded when The Dark Knight came out, and even though box office is mostly back to normal, the number of players is still well above average. (For the record, removing the upper right point does reduce r^2 to .267)

I haven't even calculated the score after the projections and estimates, knowing that so much mistakes won't get me anything good and I'll be somewhere around 300th.
