 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I would be #31 if I didn't miss 4 games. I'm the second ranked player with 29 games. But I'm #133 for the year. #3 for August. KJ is Top 4 for August

Up another 90 spots to #736 for the year. #6 this week, my highest placement on the derby since Nov '05 when I came in 3rd

You'll make the Top 10, BJ. I guarantee it.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
29th for the week, one of the best KJ scores. Makes it even more tough to haven't realized that last weeks deadline was early. Would have been easily Top 10 for the year.
Congrats @Riggs for his top 10 ranking

R^2 is only 0.292, and if you remove that one point in the upper-right corner, it'll reduce R^2 even more. No clear indication that there is any correlation.

Yeah I just threw it out there for the heck of it. It's not a very strong correlation, but it kind of shows how the bigger the weekend, the more interest there is in the Derby in general. For example, the # of players exploded when The Dark Knight came out, and even though box office is mostly back to normal, the number of players is still well above average. (For the record, removing the upper right point does reduce r^2 to .267)

Congrats, almost famous on your win! 4/5th this week, hopefully a turning point too. Congrats to xia and rumpel for making the top 10 too. And to basically everyone else, I see many KJers near the top again.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I thought I made an AWFUL prediction. So I'm really surprised to see myself being 7th. I haven't even calculated the score after the projections and estimates, knowing that so much mistakes won't get me anything good and I'll be somewhere around 300th. Corpse wrote: Congrats to xia and rumpel for making the top 10 too. And to basically everyone else, I see many KJers near the top again. Wow, Corpsy, I'm gonna print that and put it in a frame on the wall in my office right next to PhD diploma and Lenin's Award. Thanks!

17th for the week, back up to 40th for the year with a game missing.
Congrats to all KJers, ice week for us again.
BTW: Does anyone know when we have to predict? The deadline note puts the mess in message:
"Predictions are due by Predict 4-day Labor Day weekend grosses (Friday-Monday), Pacific Time."

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I've emailed Sean about the deadline. I was 45th for the week, which was a great surprise considering how bad my score was. Congrats to all the KJ-ers at the top

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
BOM needs a modification or something that updates all their derby charts (monthly, yearly, etc) when they update the weekly results.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
1st for the week. And the funny thing is, our very first win was this EXACT weekend one year ago. 4th win total. And congrats to basically everyone yet again. Another dominate weekend for KJ.
