Did that Rachel McAdams/Eric Bana film ever get a release date?

Sony is planning on making SM4 for May 2011. That should be interesting considring Marvel already has Captain America in May and Avengers in July. Plus, the TDK sequel should probably coming out summer 2011 unless they decide to rush it for summer 2010 (which they won't because Noaln will probably want to do a movie in-between just like last time).

Most likley though, I think SM4 will end up in 2012. I think Marvel probably won't have any projects in 2012 as they'll just have had the Avengers film a year before.

A five year gap between SM3 and SM4 I think will be fine. 5-years was enough for people to come back to a new Hulk and I think five years will be enough for people to come back to Spidey considring that even though the people hated the third one, they still did love the first two.

Wall·E comes out next Friday, the 27th of June.

Unless TDK sucks like SM3 why would WB want to wait that long. 3 years is good enough gap to use the WOM from TDK. Plus CN can go ahead and make another movie before next batman.

Four year gap? Nah. The demand for a sequel will be too high to wait four years on it.

If WB had to choose between TDK sequel and Superman, they pick TDK sequel easily. As long as TDK has good WOM, the sequel is a 300m+ lock. You just don't sit on a 300m+ lock for that long. Not to mention, summer 2011 already has Captain America and Avengers. A new Superman film can't compete in that summer. TDK sequel though could.

A Superman film SHOULD come out in 2010, July 4th time. It's open and far away from the major 300m+ contenders in summer 2010 (Iron Man, Shrek, and Toy Story).

And if they can't get it for 2010, they aint going to have it for 2011 and push TDK away. It just would be one a stupid move.[

Long-term, live-action Robotech, Johnny Quest, World of Warcraft, He-Man and Justice League films are also on the agenda for licensing, as well as the CGI Thundercats and a third Batman film from Chris Nolan, Gilmore says.

He's Just Not That Into You has been delayed again, this time from October 24 to February 6 next year. Uh-oh. I mean, probably a smart box office move considering it would've been crushed by Saw and High School Musical, but the fact that February 6 is half a year after its original release date isn't really promising.

It could do $15m+ opening day, but considering that Valentine's Day is the next day, it might not drop that bad. It'll be insanely frontloaded, though. Probably the worst multiplier ever for a $20m+ opener.

Yeah. Cloverfield almost touched 2x. Almost.

It'll be similar to, if not less than, The Grudge 2. That opened on Friday the 13th as well, dropped 25.5% on Saturday (and for some reason, dropped 55.2% on Sunday). Its opening weekend was $20.8m and it grossed $39.1m, a 1.87 multiplier. That's probably the current worst multiplier for a $20m+ opener. And if Friday the 13th had that much of an effect on The Grudge 2, imagine on the actual Friday the 13th film. And, not to mention, it'll get a lot of business on its second day, too (Valentine's Day). I could literally see $15m Friday, $12m Saturday, and $7m Sunday for a $31m weekend (more or less) and $55-57m total. I don't see its overall multiplier breaking 2.0.
