The Wachowskis made 2 great movies (Matrix, Bound), one noble failure (Cloud Atlas), one underrated kids movie (Speed Racer), one bad sequel with 2 fantastic scenes (Matrix 2) and one bad sequel (Matrix 3).

I have definitely seen worse resumees...

Okay, you can add one bad original movie - just came back from JA...

Good thing for Universal that Seventh Son is a success overseas and has already banked 82 Million.

Thanks to overseas Jupiter will likely make its money back too but not much more.

$82m overseas for Seventh Son is not "making its money back". It will need over $200m. And Jupiter Ascending will not make it back either. It would need over $400m worldwide. Could happen, but by the looks of it, it won't, unless it makes bank in China.

The film is gonna be profitable by the end of the first day of its worldwide release.

So we can expect more shitty book adaptations with low-cost no-named stars. :(

Man, WB sure does have money to spend on advertising. Another 10 million spent on Jupiter Ascending, and it may not even make that much for the weekend.

Very impressive marketing cost for 50 Shades, guess the networks they chose to advertise don't have high prices.

A little high for what I figured for Focus. Will must demand a lot, or the location shooting cost a ton.

Lazarus will make that opening weekend at least. Won't be a huge hit but won't be a money loser.

They will have surface chemistry, which is all the film really needs. I mean, they're hardly competing for the Oscars here.

Eh, I'm not expecting Oscar performances, but even a blockbuster needs its performers to look like they mean what they are saying to each other.

And they will have that, but remember, this is a suave and sexy heist film, so it will be as believable as Entrapment.

They had enough chemistry, and even if they didn't, Margot can have chemistry with anyone by just existing.

I don't think this film lives or dies on the chemistry. It's a fucking late-February dump. All that matters is whether it looks somewhat cool enough to muster a $25m opening weekend. If it can, then it will make the expected range of $60m before it's pulled from theatres.

I 100% disagree this was just dumped. I don't think a Smith film would ever be classified by the studio as such. This is heading to $35M+ OW.

Unfinished Business will bomb even with that budget. Good thing Chappie was cheap.
