 Re: Titanic 3-D/IMAX Re-Release
Okay, I'm answering my own question - - the titanicmovie.com website has a big banner reading: "In 2DTheatres, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D April 4"So perhaps there's hope for me yet!

 Re: Titanic 3-D/IMAX Re-Release
I just searched some random locations and found quite a few 2D showings on Wednesday. I thought it was suppose to be 3D Exclusive, too.

 Re: Titanic 3-D/IMAX Re-Release
That is surprising. I think no one is confident on the extra surcharge of 3D and it might kinda help over weekend if 2D screens are available. Though I am sure in most OS markets it is 3D exclusive only.

 Re: Titanic 3-D/IMAX Re-Release
Titanic producer Jon Landau speaks out against 3D: Quote: Jon Landau is an Oscar winner, the blockbuster producer partner of James Cameron and, above all, a film-goer. So when 2D films started being converted to 3D, he went to the cinema to take a look.
''It was not an experience that I enjoyed,'' he says, ''they didn't do it properly.'' In fact, he believes no 2D film has been converted to 3D successfully...
''Theatres need movies like Titanic 3D,'' he says. ''If we can draw people out of their homes … we've all succeeded and more movies will get produced, more theatres will be built, more popcorn will be sold.''

Anybody think there is a possibility Titanic could eventually pass Avatar?

 Re: Titanic 3-D/IMAX Re-Release
^ I highly doubt in OS markets this will be released in many 2D screens if at all. Your place seems to be getting even new releases only in 3D, which in Singapore are mostly 2D + 3D so I highly doubt you will see this re-release in 2D.

Yeah, but if they pull the 3D only stunt later on a 2D version does pop up. But I did notice recently the fall off in 3D play times.
