 I had hope for it.

I was dying to see that movie. Me too. It looked pretty good.
Well the Japanese original was nothing to write home about.

BOM has confirmed Pulse has been delayed from March 3 to July 14.
This bumps The Weinstein Company's School for Scoundrels from that date to Fall.
The Tenacious D film will open on November 17 now.

July 14?
It'll get murdered. What an awful move.

I updated the schedule up until September, by the way. I'll work on it more later.

I sense another Femme Fatale.

Eh?
I don't.
It's based on a James Ellroy (writer of the novel that inspired L.A. Confidential) novel about the real-life murder.
It's far more Oscar-baity than Femme Fatale, which was a trashy erotic thriller. And the cast is arguably stronger than that movie's was.

Dark Blue was also Ellroy's by the way.
The movie went through very troubled production apparently and the release date doesn't sound too good.

As long as the PULSE move is due to them improving it with reshoots I'd be fine with it. Otherwise it would be a dumb as hell move because it would have done really well in its original spot.

I think I forgot to post that Warners has already pushed Black Dahlia back from October to Thanksgiving.
Guess they saw what happened to a lot of the supposed Oscar contenders opening in October last year and balked.

Idlewild finally has a new release date: August 25.
I'm having mixed feelings on this.

Maybe it will get canned and save the world from such mediocrity.

Curtis Hanson's Eric Bana-Drew Barrymore drama Lucky You has been delayed from April 7 to September. Not surprising considering the lack of a trailer.
Nicole Kidman's The Visiting has been bumped off its August 11 release date and is apparently looking for a new date. Warner Bros. has slotted the Hilary Swank thriller The Reaping (probably trying to repeat The Skeleton Key's relative success) for that date instead.
