What are the thoughts on Heartbreak Kid's ratio considering the low C- grade?

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Heartbreak, Seeker, Feel the Noise
I kept waiting for The Heartbreak Kid to have a bigger hour since the pace looked rather pedestrian, but looks like 20 an hour is its normal pace, and frontpage heavily skewed the early returns.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Heartbreak, Seeker, Feel the Noise
WOW - if thats the grade and a low $20s opening on the cards - this will barely pass $60m if that. October would then be in bad shape.
Interestingly Im just watching Along Came Polly for the first time now heh

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Heartbreak, Seeker, Feel the Noise
Hopefully The Seeker is performing better than the reviews would indicate. Otherwise, it's a tank job. The Heartbreak Kid looks to be in the $7-8M range, while Feel The Noise should be around $1.5M.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Heartbreak, Seeker, Feel the Noise
hmmm I knew when I showed up at Chicago's biggest and busiest theater at 8:15 pm and the 8:30 still wasn't sold that there was trouble for the Heartbreak Kid. I think it was funny. Definitely don't understand the C grade. oh well...

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Heartbreak, Seeker, Feel the Noise
The marketing for THK was big but very unfunny for an R rated comedy flick. It will do $15-17 million OW which is extremely low for a Ben Stiller flick.
Also those who have watched it say it is decent but the grades we are seeing means that a lot are just giving it low grades without watching it.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Oct 12, 2007
Michael Clayton - 212 (37), B Why Did I Get Married - 74 (5), A- Elizabeth: The Golden Age - 44 (3), B+ We Own the Night - 37 (10), B The Final Season - 10 (2), A- Not sure what MC started out with as it's already out a week, but should be able to deduct from the early pace.

Of all the films, Elizabeth:The Golden Age is on the front page. Guess it needs the most help.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Oct 12, 2007
Ratio wise, low for Michael Clayton and We Own the Night (60-70), a little higher for Elizabeth (90-100), much higher for Why Did I Get Married (>150).
