 I think it picked up at least two screens at most of its 3-D locations, Christmas Carol is shedding fast.

How is that even possible? As of 12/29/09, ACC was only playing at 1245 theaters nationally, and I doubt more than a small percentage of them were still 3D (out of the three theaters I monitor none were still showing this in 3D). Avatar as of 12/21/09 was on 3,129 3D screens at 2,038 theaters.

As off 08/09, there were approx. 3300 3D screens. I seriously doubt there are more than 3,500 3D screens at the current time.

well as usual I over exaggerate a bit, but the film is picking up the slack, theaters are moving Christmas Carol to 2-D only and giving avatar the 3-D compatible scenes.

I assumed something like that, but I wasn't sure if you were overestimating the amount of 3D screens. I don't want you to mislead Nazgul anymore than necessary.
