yeah, this needs a new trailer stat. Although when I saw 300 I think there were people that have never seen that trailer before.

Not really, as Magnus said, it just needs one by April, which should happen with Winter Solider.

Even though the trailer went online early. It's still didn't play with Thor, CF, or Hobbit, it didn't really start appearing until this year, so the trailer is still quite effective with mainstream audiences. Another trailer in April with CA, and then it appearing probably with Spider-man and Godzilla will be fine enough.

I like that. They should have made use of the spring break. Unless this movie becomes an event for mainstream audience it won't have any big impact outside of internet and core fan-base which we already know is not a guaranteed money making target.

This weekend though is awful, so it doesn't make any sense. Next weekend it will be on Divergent, which will be the biggest movie of March and will probably playing with Noah and Captain America.

Definitely interested in the budget on this one. The Sentinels mostly teased but they look brilliantly done. This club got another good shot.

Anything over 250 would be awesome to me. I think the big jump will happen OS. I could see it making 400-450 OS. Hell 500 million OS is more possible than 300, considering the growth of OS box office.

Magnus wrote: yeah im backing down from 300m+ despite the new marketing. I think expecting it to match X3 admissions is asking too much for the franchise. I think the only way this happens if it reviews/WOM is REALLY REALLY strong. Which is possible but I'm not going to say it will be 100%.
Right now, I'm seeing a 140m 4-day (including a 50m OD) and 280m total right now. pansy

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past 100% over First Class Total C
The new trailer is great, but I'm still not quite sure this will The Avenger's of the X-Men Universe. While the ensemble itself is pretty EPIC!, the real question now is do mainstream audiences even care about these characters anymore ?
It's been almost 10 years since X3 and we already know the downward slope this franchise has experienced since then. I kinda agree with Magnus that the reviews for this have to be insanely strong if this has any chance of becoming the true EVENT film of the summer.
Also, my prediction is 120/245.

Hhmm. If I answered previously it was a No, but after seeing this 2nd trailer I'm much more interested. Singer returning and it being a true XMen film I think this can beat that number. Certainly it will do so in the worldwide total.
Nothing major against for 2 weeks. Maybe even 3. Yes, Maleficent is in week 2 but it's totally different demo. Edge of Tomorrow in week 3. I don't see it doing more than 40.
I'm IN for this.

Just the script, though I've heard the film fleshes it out quite a bit and improves on the draft I read. The trailers certainly indicate that all of the best bits (intercutting pivotal Stewart/McKellen moments with pivotal McAvoy/Fassbender moments) have made it through.

Too big of a jump and even if it was Wolverine we had an X-Men movie last year.

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past 100% over First Class Total C
In comparison to what, though? Can you bring up another scenario where a reboot of a film happened, and then later joined with the original for a sequel?
If not, please explain your reasoning.

Yes there isn't a specific comparison for this film but then again neither of the original X-Men adjusts close to $360m nor does the reboot come close even with good WOM.
