On Filmweb.pl - big Polish movie website - they have a review and it sounds great.

The epic buzz I was expecting hasn't really kicked in for these kind of numbers. So revising my predictions.

$52M opening day, $110M 3 day weekend, $192M 5 day, $400M total.

3-day - $116m
5-day - $196m
Total - $410m

Transformers made $155m over the 6.5 day holiday week, for the record.

I agree with this mostly. Maybe just a slightly bigger OD, slight bigger thur. drop.

Still going with an opening similar to the above. Less than 10 days away, and I still don't feel the event movie of the summer buzz for this one. Might even go a little lower, imo.

i dont know if this movie even needs "the hype," TF was just so exactly what people wanted that everyone's gonna see this even if they aren't excited for it. I've never felt this way about a movie... I saw more hype for TDK/Indy/SM3/DMC, yet I didn't predict any of them to perform as well as I'm thinking this will do (425-450m). I can't really back up my prediction with much, it just seems like this movie is such a ridiculously easy sell.

I think this one will be a massive disappointment relative to expectations. We are less than 6 days from release and its pre-sales are fairly mediocre for the genre. They are comparing it only to Star Trek and TF1 which to me is ridiculous as neither films were pre-sales monsters.

I think OD below HP5 could happen.

Its lack of buzz on this forum is stunningly atrocious. Seriously, one week away and nobody gives a shit. I remember the buzz being way stronger with TF1 (the multiple GIF avatars?). And there's not even an official predicting thread. If I'd ever translate these alone in a BO perspective it should perform as horrible as T4, but then if the hype on here is pretty much meaningless to box office (like Watchmen) then my club has a chance.

It could still explode the way DMC did though.

I know but, I browsed back this forum to those days, you can see it coming.

Who cares if this forum has any buzz? It doesn't exactly translate to any real world results.

This will do well simply because people will watch it. They're not that phsyced about it, no, but its there, its somewhat appealing, there's not all that much else, why the fuck not?
It'll make 180-200m 5-day simply because it is there and people feel like they should see it. Everyone else is.....

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

Word is that Revenge of the Fallen is awful with not a lot of action. Wonder how crowds will react.

1st review I've seen says it's a mess and all over the place.. 38% ROTTEN for a club like this.. No 450 Million domestically for this one.. Maybe by "Revenge of the Fallen", they meant the audience that has to endure this??? :-k

The last thing it lacks is action its jammed with obscene levels of it. As for crowds the people I saw it with weren't big fans from the reactions going out the door. But thats just one sample so we'll see how it goes.

It'll be lucky to pass a 200m 5-day. I still see 400m+ but not 450m. Basically what I've been saying for months.
