Not really, these guys perdict high, however the other boxoffice sites (boxofficeguru, boxofficereport, boxofficeprophets) will consider this a lot when they make thier own prediction.

Jesus freakin' christ. I can't believe MTC went that high.
And they are without a doubt underestimating since they don't want to go any higher. This is territory they have never entered.

And MTC is higher than RS, so the normal trend is the actual gross will be even higher.
Prada is projected to be down 40% by MTC.

Good thing $675M between the two in the U.S. alone is actually plausible.

They projected Medea to be down by 50%. I don't think they drop projections mean anything. Prada will drop 43% at least. SR at least 55%.

Geesh, if this isn't proof enough that Pirates 2 is going to be huge and break Spider-man's 3-day weekend record, then I don't know what is.
These people here who keep going on and on about how we're overpredicting the film and being "crazy" to predict this high, you will ALL BE OWNED.
Heh. Seriously, I can't believe there are actually still people here doubting, no offense. It's just that the buzz, and tracking, and so on has been so high, even early on. Are the signs not clear enough?? This is an event film. The public has made it that.
PEACE, Mike.

So am I one of the guys that will be pwned when I predict 107.5 for the OW?

No, I'm moreso talking about the people who are saying that the film will be lucky to make even $100 million over the weekend, because "this isn't an event film like Star Wars or Spider-Man".
PEACE, Mike.

If you're right about PIRATES, it's the end of theatres as we know it.

There's no way it makes 50 mill. It should have that in about it sfirst 36 hours of release.
