Actuals are in from the UK and it increased 55% on last weekend to £5,940,479 for a total of £32,815,618 which is an increase on the estimates.

 Re: Avatar (INTL.) - $1.029bn Worldwide (#4)
Seeing all the big numbers everywhere makes the Dutch box office result so far just... disappointing. It has yet to break $10 million here. With nearly 17 million inhabitants (the third most populous of Europe's smaller markets, behind Poland and Romania) you'd expect we could at least outdo Hong Kong...
Here's how it breaks down in USD (weekdays are mon-wed, weekends are thurs-sun):
Avatar's performance in the Netherlands
Previews: $219.028 Total after Week 1: $3.280.791 ($1.657.367 OWknd, $1.404.397 Mo-Wed) Total after Week 2: $7.533.533 ($2.143.462 2nd Wkdn (+29%), $2.109.280 Mo-Wed (+50%)) Total after Weekend 3: $9.379.632 ($1.846.099 3rd Wknd (-14%))
All-Time (euro's)
33 MAMMA MIA! THE MOVIE € 6.616.118,00 34 MATRIX RELOADED THE € 6.595.374,00 35 PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN THE € 6.581.593,00 36 ALADDIN € 6.551.592,00 37 AVATAR € 6.519.383,00 38 WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH THE € 6.391.042,00 39 NOTTING HILL € 6.371.402,00

So what went wrong there in Dutch? This is the first time I am hearing Avatar down in one of the overseas merket and it looks like huge disappointment as it seems nowhere near success

When compared to other movies released in 2009 here, it's doing pretty well: 1. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince €11.340.136 2. Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs €8.987.891 3. Komt een Vrouw bij de Dokter €7.286.467 (local film, still in release) 4. Avatar €6.519.383 5. Up €6.032.309 (Euros, since converting stuff to dollars just doesn't work well when comparing films released during different times of the year...) It's only been in release for three weeks, and has #2 of the year pretty much in the bag. I just want it to beat HP6 and end up in the all-time top 10.

Hmm but with all time 37 in the list it looked really bad. I think so it will break HP's record soon enough. Thanks evil (lesser? ). Go Avatar (Damn this is becoming my slogan these days )

Can you repost the link or something? It doesn't seem to be working.
