Who cares if marvel booked that date first?, It's a Batman film what you are talking about

Re: should Marvel move their film off the May 6, 2016 date
I don't really care, as I don't really care for either franchise. There still has yet to be a Marvel movie I really like (I haven't seen CA 2, hated Iron Man, thought Thor and CA 1 were average, liked the last half hour of The Avengers, hated Thor 2, haven't seen hulk, or the Iron Man sequels) and the only batman movie I like is the Dark Knight, but not so much that I would rush out to see the sequel opening weekend.

I just think DC's producers are rude.

Rude?, Marvel is being rude, before CA2 hit theatres, they didn't even know what film they were put there, they just booked it. THEY WERE UNSURE
On the other hand, WB moved BvS to may 2016 months back.
In other words:
Marvel chose the date first WITHOUT film DC chose the date later but WITH a film

We all know DC stands for Disappointing Crap and in case of their followers for Dumb Cretins, so Marvel should stay and bvs should open in January or September or another of those dumping months. Now go and cry me a river!

Hopefully Night at the Museum 3 will be better than 2.

I'm humored by how the narrative here started out as "Marvel was rude and arrogant to schedule a movie up against BATMAN!!" Now that basic facts have shown that it was DC that challenged Marvel, it's "Marvel was rude and arrogant to claim that date so soon!!"
OK then.

Ca 2 not against BvS would do 110m+ IMO.

Re: should Marvel move their film off the May 6, 2016 date
$110m is certainly in play for Cap once it moves.
Star Wars should not move. It should stay in December.
Its the standalone films that should move to the summer (first in Summer 17 not Dec 16).

So Marvel won - the only surprise is that BvS moved up not down (I expected a July birth, not a March opening)

March is a better spot imo, the movie will capitalize the entire world

Marvel is the King of Kings. It makes a lot more sense for BvS to be released earlier anyways. The movie will probably be completed by next summer and you can only show so many trailers.

If they would've pushed BvS further into the year, it wouldn't have worked with how much they've already shown.

Batman is the king of kings, not marvel

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL What a bunch of stupid postering by WB/DC for nothing.
Nice to see such a major movie event take a non-summer/holiday release though.

They should've announced this at Comic Con but I guess GOTg helped make the decision to move easier. 200+ million opening here we come.

So by my calculations there are 278 superhero movies in the next six years. Is that about right?

I do like that WB moved even though I don't like the date....I am wondering if Marvel is really happy with this because even 2 months earlier BvS could steal a LOT of thunder from CA3's opening.
