Re: Wednesday Numbers (November 13) - Thor The Dark World -
Wow that's just awful. I always thought the Marvelverse would become more leggy because of the sizable family audience increase since Avengers. The Saturday bump backed that up. It's heading in the other way though, more like the Potterverse. Could've dropped by 65% if Wolf was still coming out.

how much is "Thorki" and Loki's "huge popularity" helping the film lol?

Thinking this for Thor 2:
Thu: 3.4 -5% Fri: 9.2 +170% Sat: 15.2 +65% Sun: 9.9 -35% W/E: 34.3 -60%
And that Friday increase could very well be optimistic.

Re: Wednesday Numbers (November 13) - Thor The Dark World -
The film's OW is similar to what it likely would have made as a sequel even without The Avengers preceding it.
Just goes to show how overblown the whole "TA effect" was. It's much more likely that The Avengers experienced a RDJ (plus 3D) effect.

The Avengers grossed $300+ million more than Iron Man or Iron Man 2. It also had inflation and 3D ticket prices as an advantage over those films. The crossover effect may have had some effect, but not nearly the level that most suggest. IM3 grossed 409M, and if TDW's performance so far is anything to go by, nothing else in phase 2 will come even close.
