 Re: Grammy Noms
LOL at Jay-Z. I can't believe they went for Despacito instead of Shape of You. There's crap and then there's CRAP (akhm, Despacito).
Hopefully Lorde snags AOTY. It's definitely one of the best albums of the year and by far the best one in the category. Best Alternative Album continues to be the best overall category. Here's hoping Lana or Kesha get the Pop album.

 Re: Grammy Noms
And I'm sad Dua Lipa didn't get into Best New Artist. I'm not sure about the cut off dates and what not but New Rules is picking up in the US finally. Maybe she can get a nom next year.

 Re: Grammy Noms
Jay-Z is one of my all time favs but his new album is so dull. And Childish Gambino?? Looks like Adele beating Beyonce last year was the final straw and now they are going full Moonlight on us. And still no Vince Staples or Run the Jewels, by far the best hip-hop albums in the past year. Are they picking names out of a hat?
In good news, Lorde's album is better than anything I was reasonably expecting.
I'll say Kendrick takes album easily now that they've given him no competition, AKA The Departed technique. Despacito will close the show with a big record of the year win so they can say F U Trump in spanish.

 Re: Grammy Noms
But why does it seem like they are just picking people at random? Did anybody even know that Donald Glover was still rapping and not just hanging out with Spider-Man?

"Redbone" is a good song, and grew to be a pretty big hit this year. Also lol@"just hanging out with Spider-Man" when the guy just came off of winning two Emmy's and two Golden Globes for "Atlanta".

 Re: Grammy Noms
So Spider-Men can't hang out in Atlanta? ...Racist I did forget about the show though. So I guess the point of this is that Donald Glover is so great and amazing at everything he does. Besides showing loyalty to the show or people who helped him achieve his dreams. "Oh hey I'm gonna unfriend all my comedian friends on twitter to show how serious I am about my music career cause I'm Donald Glover and I'm so cool and great at everything." And you can't even do a cameo for the Community finale? Donald Glover can fuck off.

Even though 4:44 is pretty meh, I'm gonna root for a Jay-Z legacy victory over the rest. He was great in concert last week.

Not safe enough. They are taking heat for not awarding Despacito or women now. When you give a mouse a cookie... Were any of the performances worth checking out? I was watching the Rumble.

 Re: Grammy Noms
I was disappointed with Kesha. She sounded strained and out of breath the entire time. Maybe it was the emotions, but regardless it didn't sound great. Pink was as stellar as ever though, and I loved Donald Glover too.
