 Audioslave
New Song.
http://www.bandbuilder.com/drm_your_tim ... udioslave/
They are offering 1 million downloads on the site. Once they reach that, they are unlocking it for the online worldwide premire ... whatever that means.
I personally think the song is average at best.

There other song "Be Yourself" is actually quite good ...
Hrmm.
They had 1 song on their first album that was literally amazing.

Completely unimpressed with this song and this is coming from a huge fan of both Rage and Soundgarden and of the last Audioslave album to a lesser extent. The main problem with Audioslave is that Tom Morello brings over his guitar style from Rage, complete with his trademark scratches, bleeps and wails and attempts to make it fit with a more straight ahead rock outfit. Needless to say, at times it just doesn't mix well. And god love Morello, but his stuff is just starting to grow stale with me (moreso his solos than anything). I know he's a talented guitar player and is capable of playing outside of that style, so it's just kind of frustrating to hear this new band being so limited. Chris should really be picking up a guitar so they can have a fuller sound.
This new song is just tired. That riff is like half of the Cochise one, repeated again and again with no variations to the point of ](*,) . The solo is better than I expected though.
I'll wait and see on this new album, as Be Yourself and now this new song have failed to impress me.

The new song is awful, Be yourself is exactly what I would expect from Audioslave, and it has grown on me.
