Kelly Osbourne's new album is surprisingly good
Kelly Osbourne- Sleeping In The Nothing
Release Date: June 7th, 2005
Label: Sancuary Records
Grade: A- Great beats, amazing production, and an overall refreshing attempt from the rebellious Kelly Osbourne.
After listening 7 of the 11 tracks (I couldn't find the other 4, I will edit in their grades when I get them.) I must say I am very impressed. This is album is leaps and bounds better than her manufactured debut. Linda Perry produced most of the tracks. She has to be one of the best producers, she has worked with artists such as (Pink, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani), and her production shines through on this album. The thing I like most about this disc is that its consistently upbeat. All of the tracks are great. It's obvious Kelly is going for an 80's vibe, and it works to her advantage. I think the beats, and everything are used brilliantly, and Kelly's voice is used well. Unlike her debut, where her voice sounded like a cat screaming, its mellow and soft here. I understand some people might not like this album because it is quite different, but I for one love 80's music, and I love all of the beats used here. I'm a sucker for 80's music, so maybe that's why I love it so much. But its still a really good album in my opinion. I doubt it will be a successful, but I got to hand it to Kelly for trying something different. The only thing that might turn people off is that the album sounds the same, nothing stands out to be different, but I think its definitely a good thing. It's a party album, not meant to be taken seriously, just have fun with it. This is a turning point for Kelly, and if this is the beginning of a new path for her than I'm going to follow not far behind.
1. One Word 9/10- I love the beat, and the lyrics. The chorus is especially catchy, and this could of been a huge hit if it was released two decades ago.
2. Uh Oh 9/10- Absolutely adore this song. Sounds really rockish, but you can dance to it very easily.
3. Redlight 10/10- My second favorite on the album. Really awesome beat, fabulous lyrics, and Kelly's voice sounds great here. Chorus is also very catchy.
4. Secret Lover 10/10- My absolute favorite track on the album. Amazing beat, Kelly sounds good here, and I especially love the little ode to Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, very nice touch.
5. I Can't Wait 9/10- This song sounds so much like Gwen Stefani's "Cool" it isn't even funny. It's still a good song though.
6. Edge of Your Atmosphere 10/10- I love the beat, and the lyrics are nice.
7. Surburbia 8/10- Insightful lyrics, and nice beat, but this isn't one of my favorites.
8. Don't Touch Me 9/10- Really cool fun song. Funny lyrics, and great melody.
9. Save Me 10/10- Awesome beat, definitely sounds like something Madonna would of released back in the 80's.
10. Entropy 9/10- Extremely 80's sounding, hypnotic beat. The beat really reminds me of the Beverly Hills Cop Theme, listen to it closely.
11. One Word (Chris Cox Remix) 10/10- Very awesome remix. You could definitely shake your ass to this.
For your listening pleasure. I hope you like these, and please tell me what you think of them once you hear them. Also if you would like me to upload more songs, please let me know.

P.S.
I will be very surprised if Rod doesn't like this album. He usually really like 80's music.
