I love songs that really have meaningful lyrics in them about experiences we can relate to. Its that kind of thing that ultimately decides what a song means to each person - Be it past traumas, future aspirations or present experiences in life. What songs and lyrics from them hold importance to you?

For me they are mostly from Pop/Indie combo artists who seem to incorporate this kind of thing alot

+ Time to Say Goodbye [ Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli] for many reasons, but mostly stuff from my past, pretty cliched one you say? Perhaps, but dosent change the fact it has emotional ties to tough times for me.

+ Welcome to my Truth [Anastacia] Im not a big Anastacia fan, but this song which was a commercial failure i found to be her best, written about her time going through cancer and how she emerged triumphant, its obviously quite inspirational for people who have had cancer or had someone close to them endure it whilst being uplifiting.

+ Love Is All I Need by Kristian Leontiou - The verses are the saviour of this song, its kind of religous and melancholy and just brings back imagery of places that i found myself becoming religously connected with.

+ Try - Nelly Furtado

+ See You When your 40 - Dido, A rare dido gem that actually means something different, reminds me of alot of people who try and use a miserable persona to act original, something that really pisses me off.

+ Painter Song - Norah Jones. This captures the kind of Parisian charm that i really like to kick back to.

+"Whos To Say" by V. Carlton - Im really enchanted by the suprisingly good step up in important lyrics with this artists sophmore effort. This one carries imagery in its lyrics that i think hits a chord with me for some reason. Its just such a great album with so many songs that conjur up so many amazing images
