Awesome. Didn't know this was the next single.

I think it's better than each of the previous three.

Hm... looks like Shake if Off will hit #1 in a matter of weeks. (which I actually kinda like...)

Yay for Green Day though.

Mariah Carey is still well ahead of Bow Wow as far as airplay/singles sales. I think I'm getting the terms right here. It was like 160,000 to 116,000? Anyway this isn't my area of expertise, but I'd say Bow Wow's chances at #1 are almost zero. Shake it Off should take the spot though from We Belong Together I'd say within two to three weeks.

To put this into perspective. We Belong Together has hit 13 weeks at #1, becoming the longest reigner at the #1 position this decade. It has surpassed both Eminem and Usher.

It was probably very close for the #1 spot this weekend. Early fan projections had Mariah and Pussy Cat Dolls neck and neck...with Pussy Cat Doll's downloads being the key determiner...

Can't wait to get home to read more into this....

16 weeks: One Sweet Day - Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men - 1996
14 weeks: Macarena - Los Del Rio - 1996
14 weeks: I'll Always Love You - Whitney Houston - 1992
14 weeks: I'll Make Love To You - Boyz II Men - 1994
14 weeks: Candle In The Wind - Elton John - 1997
13 weeks: End Of The Road - Boyz II Men - 1992
13 weeks: The Boy Is Mine - Brandy and Monica - 1998
13 weeks: We Blong Together - Mariah Carey - 2005
12 weeks: Loose Yourself - Eminem - 2002
12 weeks: Yeah! - Usher (ft. Lil Jon and Ludacris) - 2004
11 weeks: I Swear - All-4-One - 1994
11 weeks: Unbreak My Heart - Toni Braxton - 1996
11 weeks: Independent Women Part 1 - Destiny's Child - 2000
11 weeks: I'll Be Missing You - Puff Daddy (ft. Faith Evans) - 1997
10 weeks: Physical - Olivia Newton John - 1981
10 weeks: Maria Maria - Santana - 2000
10 weeks: Foolish - Ashanti - 2002
10 weeks: Dilemma - Nell (ft. Kelly Rowland) - 2002

Other big hits of the current decade.....

9 weeks: In Da Club - 50 Cent - 2003
9 weeks: Baby Boy - Beyonce Knowles (ft. Sean Paul) - 2003
9 weeks: Hey Ya - Outkast - 2003
9 weeks: Let Me Love You - Mario - 2005
9 weeks: Candy Shop - Mario 2005
8 weeks: Crazy In Love - Beyonce Knowles - 2003
8 weeks: Burn - Usher - 2004
7 weeks: All For You - Janet Jackson - 2001
7 weeks: Hot In Herre - Nelly - 2002
7 weeks: Goodies - Ciara - 2004

Great Jump for Green Day.

Shakira is thisclose to going top 40. Maybe the VMAs can help her get there.

FINALLY Probably Wouldn't Be This Way starts to take off. Bout time for a LeAnn Rimes comeback. not that im a big fan or anything. but i like the song.

And Yay for Kelly Clarkson. She'll probably have next week's biggest jump on the chart.

And...umm...that's a career best for Hilary Duff.

Heh its been a single up here in Canada for like 3 1/2 months, they should be releasing their 4th soon. And wow Mariah 13 weeks. Assuming it keeps it next week thats 14, tied for 2nd biggest single ever. If Carrie hadn't stolen that one week then its would be Together with a shot for 16 the week after with Shake it Off charging. It has no chance here unfortunatly, the maximum it can get is 15 weeks it looks like before Shake it Off takes number 1.

Arch, if you can answer my question please. I posted this before but it got lost in the shuffle.

When One Sweet Day was #1 for 16 weeks, was that consecutive or non? Or do you know?

What an amazing year for Mariah...

..and to think, we thought she was done with!

and Kelly Clarkson's Because of You, I think should jump to 55 next week, with downloads rising at a terrific rate. And terrific for Hillary Duff...but I thought she had a career best with Come Clean? Well thats great for her, a TOp 30 single and a Number 1 Album.

If i had money id buy The Emancipation of Mimi - but i need a more convincing argument than record sales...anyone?

A big move for Don't Lie - the feelgood song the summer never had from the BEP.

Britney Spear's unreleased track from the show "Chaotic" is released on Friday to radio stations. I think the momentum has been lost though; it wont do too badly; her last song to hit the top 100 was "Do Somethin" which did so without a US release [and before rod goes wierd nuts on me again; ive checked this time and time again on all the major music sources and they all say the same damn thing :P] Before that "Outrageous" was released with no video, promotion, record push and on basically club play alone hit #79.

P.S Ashanti's Foolish is one of the worst songs ive ever heard.

ughhhh, what a terrible top ten. WBT is uber old and needs to leave the top spot, DC got old after a week, PDR got old after 10 minutes, SIO sucks, LMHY is far beyond shit, LC is pure evil, You & Me is the worst Lifehouse song ever, BTHE was good but passed its prime, I need not mention the shit of Bow Wows nu song .. and that leaves us with LTYH, which is the only song that deserves to be there AND ITS FALLING. It hits #1 on pop radio and falls two spots. Wtf? Once again proves that billboard is biased towards hip hop and R&B.

Green Day should be top ten very soon atleast, hopefully Kanye will too.

lol

Go to Itunes or Real Rhapsody or any other download site and you'll see Do Something is available.

And Outrageous peaked at #12 on the Pop Airplay charts, so it's not like it was ignored by radio completely or only received club play (it's impossible for a song to char ton club play alone cause the audience is so low).

That was still pretty poor compared to Everytime and Toxic though, but more than it deserved. Awful song. I don't know why it was single.

what sites do you get your infor from???

*didn't even go crazy*
