I know Eddie Van Halen is overrated as a guitarist but you gotta remember that Van Halen is pure party rock. They don't have deep songs like other rock titans but they have songs that you can grow a mullet too and just rock out. Van Halen as a whole is not overrated!

Sorry dude, but 'The Doors', my step-dad likes, and they irritate me. Metallica are pure shit, dpnt know how they ever got into making music (always an exception though, i do like there M:I-2 song, nice song). Rage Against teh Machine are basically shouting shouting shouting, not my taste :razz: Queen are brilliant, yet over-rated, they are not "that" good, but still cool. Van Halen, again, not my style, yet people like them.

Nirvana are a little over-rated, but i wouldnt add them to a list, if Nirvana hadnt have come along, we may not have some good bands that we have today, so thats why they wont be on my list.

If it weren't for bands like Van Halen or Metallica, you wouldn't have the so called great bands we have today (including the crappy Nirvana).

Kirk hammet from Metallica is one of the best guitarist out there, he's not the best but he is damn good and they have some great music..that said their last album was total shit and they are dea to me know. They haven;t made a good record in along time.

Again, Van Halen is band with one of the greatest guitarists.

The Doors, while I like them, I am not as big of a fan as other people. So Ican see someone calling them overrated, they are not a bad band, I like them, butwithout any band that is exalted to greatness some people will think they are overrated.

Queen, again a band I like, they have some great songs, they showoff their brillance.

Rage is a good band, and again home to one of the greatest guitarist ever. With them I findinterestng hat msot of their listeners good give to shits abotu the poltics they band sung about in their songs.

That a general statement that is just bs, pop music is really a well defined genre, is jstu music that is popular...so you are syaing as soon as people like something it sucks.

I never thought that Floyd were really bad or anything, but they are just not THAT good and nowhere near the best band of all time.

Pink Floyd wrote some awesome albums. They're older stuff to the later stuff is great.

Their are classic bands I am not a big fan of, but I can still apreciate their greatness.

Floyd is easily in the top ten bands to have ever existed on the planet, Dark Side of the Moon alone gets them that. Through in Wish You Were, The Wall...

How can you listen to Shine on You Crazy Diamonds and Wish You Were Here, two of teh bset songs ever and call them overrated?

i would say some of her music is overrated
but she as a person is not

and like i said before she is the only pop i listen to.
I don't listen to any sellouts like usher or eminem either
i like mellow alternative rock and alternative metal mostly
so not all i listen to is al that known...so how could they be overrated?

I'm just letting out some anger. Other then Britney I didn't know what you listen to I'm just a huge Halen fan.
