The CD that comes with "Live at St. Ann's Warehouse" is pretty good. I love the acoustic "That's Just What You Are" and "Going Through the Motions." You can really her aging, though...

Lost in Space is a terrific album. Pavlov's Bell's in particular has been a permanent fixture on my 64mb Muvo for ages now. Kudos on the Shins also, though I preferred their first album.
Good selections Add-rock, I'm not a huge Manics fan (in fact... I hate them ) but Electro Shock Blues is a terrific album, as is Sci-fi Lullabies.
My Muvo currently looks like this:
Aimee Mann - Pavlov's Bell
The Shins - Caring is Creepy
Jars of Clay - Crazy Times
Gary Numan - Are Friends Electric
Metallica - Don't Tread On Me
Thomson Twins - Hold Me Now
Semisonic - Chemistry
Commuter - Young Hearts
Nine Inch Nails - Closer
Hanson - Penny and Me
They Might Be Giants - Experimental Film
JC Chasez - Blowing me up (with her love)
Radiohead - Karma Police
Pretty embarrassing selection... but it gets me through the long commutes to work. So shut up!!

How can you survive with only 13 songs!?
I've got 700+ on my iPod mini. And, sometimes, with the 100-ish artists or so, I get bored with the selection.
Lost in Space has been in my cd changer for a couple months, lol.

I tend to only listen to about ten to fifteen songs at any given time. Anymore than 13 and I'd just wind up skipping tracks until I found one of the 13 I'm currently interested in.
I mean, of the 700+ on your iPod mini, how many do you really ever listen to?

Well, I do it in playlists. After a while, a playlist from, say, 5 months ago will be ignored. So, yeah, about 15 songs
Right now, my 13 would be...
The Cure - Friday I'm in Love
The Clash - Guns of Brixton
The Shins - Saint Simon
David Bowie - Heroes
Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter
Aimee Mann - That's Just What You Are
Aimee Mann - Going Through the Motions
Hot Hot Heat - Goodnight Goodnight
Wilco - Handshake Drugs
The Mars Volta - L'Via L'Vasquez
Bob Marley - Could You Be Loved?
Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill
Thievery Corporation - Holographic Universe

I didin't think it'd ever be possible to find someone that has such similar musical tastes as me.
Ross, I think we should probably go to California and just get hitched already.

Dolce will be mad. I wouldn't advise inviting her to the wedding...she might steal your one inch replica on top of the cake.

Hey, we could always head to Utah and get down with the polygamy.
As for my 15 songs... man, that's tough. It changes every couple of weeks. I'm on a nu-emo trip right now, so i'm a little embarrassed to show what it would be currently.

Eh, I'd be the only Jew in Utah. Even though I'm reform and rarely wear that lovely yammakah thingy (hell, at most services I don't), I'd be taken down by the Morman equivalent of the KKK. California has San Francisco, though.

Snrub, I'm just glad you've heard of the Manics.
Where I live it's really "indie" and all the CDs are imports... ugh.
My friend Katherine and I have been listening to them since like 1993 when she got this poster of Richey with the "4 REAL" arm cutty thing. Don't blame us, we were in our late teens and thought that kind of stuff was "cool".
She doesn't like them since they went "soft" but I enjoy all their music and they seem to be a bit more mentally engaging than most rock bands.
