Re: What are you reading right now?
Just started up Infinite Game by Simon Senek.
On the horizon:
Plague Stuff: Doomsday Book The End of October
Sequels: Dune Messiah The Twelve The Secret Commonwealth
Nonfiction: Tina Fey
Need a few more nonfictions to break up all the sci-fi, but this should carry me through to year's end.

Re: What are you reading right now?
Infinite Game has turned out to be much more of a business-self-help book than i had anticipated. It is very short, only 266 pages, but I might have to throw in the towel. Dude uses the same words over and over again, infinite and finite have been said about two hundred times each in the 44 pages I've read.

Re: What are you reading right now?
Ready Player Two is out tomorrow. i didn’t even know it was being written. Funny enough, the VR world built in the game is actually less realistic now. The people have spoken and they like their games the way they are.

Re: What are you reading right now?
Read the Lord of the Rings, Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith, The Ickabog by JK Rowling. Now I’m reading Dune and it’s a task, lol. Read the first 130 pages and restarted because of how confused I was.

Is Wheel of Time worth reading? Been planning to read the series for over 2 decades now but always put it off due to the number of books and from what ive heard the series takes a bit of a downward turn after Book 6 (though gets better at the end apparently).

Re: What are you reading right now? (2021)
I’ve been reading A Promised Land by Obama for five months now. It’s good, but gosh Barry really indulges himself here making it extremely long and dense. It’s “only” 700 pages but I bet the word count is close to the thousand pager fantasies I have read. It’s very interesting though in “see how the sausage gets made” type of way, showing all the hurdles the man went through to get literally anything done with a very divided and obstructionist congress.
To spice things up I have been swapping Rings in and out (about halfway through Towers now.) Despite being my favorite movies of all time, and having read Fellowship a half dozen times, I’ve never actually finished the trilogy before for reasons. Look forward to reading Return of the King for the first time!

You don't need to be specific or anything, but if you've been on trivia game shows, chances are pretty high I've watched you participate on something since I've watched basically all of them (including the international versions/originals) regularly. Being on a trivia game show, especially The Chase (my favorite, especially the UK version), is on my bucket (long) list.

I had to order two more bookcases last week (still buy physical over eBooks), as I already needed another one, and my collection has gotten a little out of hand.

Re: What are you reading right now? (2021)
Finally on the board this year.
1. The Two Towers by JRR Tolkien - A (I’m counting this cause I never finished it before, going back to Frodo after Aragorn’s story ended always threw me off, but obviously worth it in the end. Much different than the movie!)
2. A Promised Land by Barack Obama - B- (some great stuff but this could have been a hundred pages shorter. Took a very long time to finish.)
3. The Return of the King by JRR Tolkien - A+ (dunno if it tops Fellowship, but there are no boring chapters in this one like Tom Bombadill. We shouldve got Scouring of the Shire!!)
4. Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie - A- (lives up to its reputation, but the ending felt a little sudden and cheap)
Lots of classics and now, finally, after it being my “next book” for almost a year, I will move on to The Twelve (que me getting distracted by something else tomorrow, but I did buy the third one in an amazon sale for extra motivation lol.)

Re: What are you reading right now? (2021)
I finished The Twelve before leaving! Just barely but I didn't wanna leave it hanging like a viral in a cave. It's a step down from The Passage, but not too far. In the first, the pre-plague stuff was my favorite part of the book. This time I didn't care as much, it was mostly focused on building the new villain, and felt 150+ pages was too many before getting back to Peter and company. It all came around in the end though! The last 200 pages were riveting and I couldn't have stopped reading even if I wasn't on a tight deadline. I'd put it right on the border of an A-/B+, an 8/10. The first was like a 9.5 by comparison. Will start up on The City of Mirrors sometime when I get back!
Also have on the horizon:
Dune Messiah - still Sapiens - for a non-fiction break Death in the Clouds / ABC Murders / Death on the Nile- I'll just pretend that Orient Express is the start of the series like everyone else does.
