 President Trump
Sorry, world. We kinda fucked up on this one.
So what happens now? Will America be great again? And when is again?

 Re: President Trump
The notion of America ever being great was just like how Hitler brainwashed millions of Germans to worship him. You're not actually great, and you never have been. I mean, you're much worse now that Trump is president, but you've never been great. Countless wars you've started. Countless deaths you've handed out. America might honestly be the worst country in the world.

 Re: President Trump
The worst case scenarios for this is unthinkable. The guy acts like American Hitler and Mussolini and has no self control when it comes to retaliation. Putin is a scary threat to world security with a weird connection to Trump and who was trying to rig the election for him. I don't want nuclear war to happen man. I was supposed to have 65 years left.

 Re: President Trump
So here we are, it seems. After so many confident variations on, "Oh, surely it can't go any further..." Surely a traditional choice such as Bush or Rubio will pull ahead. Surely this absurd controversy or vulgarity will halt his momentum. Surely a figure as iconic and pavement-pounding competent as Hillary Clinton will win.
Who knows? I guess we can just hope for the best despite this hard-to-resist feeling of almost apocalyptic melodrama. Maybe a more progressive, realistic figure (the one who once said Bill Clinton was treated unfairly in the 1990s, the one who seems particularly disinterested in Evangelical posturing) will emerge from behind the bluster-and-xenophobia campaign persona.

Best case scenario he is Bush II without the foreign intervention, but that seems unlikely. Are the base ok with a flip flop on a core issue like abortion or immigration, because it is a better deal.

I wish Trump had won this because he pivoted in the general, stop tweeting crazy and gave a controlled, presidential debate performance. If that had happened I could have believed that maybe the real him is not a lunatic. That he has a normal person inside him. That there wasn't a shred of that normalcy in the general scares me. It shows he has no self control, no restraint to say "If I calm down, I will win". He can't even be trusted to stop tweeting when they asked him to. He can't last half an hour in a debate without melting down. My biggest hope is in boredom. The insane wall to wall responsibility and workload of the job drives Trump crazy until he passes off most of the responsibility to Pence.

And passing it off to Pence will create an even worse monster.

 Re: President Trump
Yes, Pence is a creep, too. Just a more restrained and practiced one.

 Re: President Trump
The only hope I have (besides a giant Latino vote in Arizona) is that an independent Trump will show up in the White House. But, any chance probably went out the window when he brought on Pence who believes in conversion therapy for gay people.

 Re: President Trump
Trump is such a loose cannon and such a big unknown. What if he tells Attorney General Giuliani to imprison Hillary (as he promised to do)? Can you imagine Hillary having to go to Europe to flee the US? This seems insane, but it could happen. His supporters everywhere are chanting this at group settings tonight.
