 Best Pizza In USA?
So I have the week off and Im bored. I've read several books and watched way too much TV for my liking (maybe a full hour in total). My family is in upstate New York while Im stuck in Connecticut going crazy. Years ago, I was in a similar boat and heard everyone on hear hyping Five Guys (this was pre-expansion) so I made the trek to check them out. I liked them but nothing amazing (Jakes hamburgers in Delaware >>>)
So I have decided that on Saturday, Im going to go try the best pizza in the USA. I'll just fly wherever, eat, and...idk.
Where should I go? I've had one of the famous "greats" in Frank Pepe's, which is good but IMO nothing Nolan-esque amazing.
Seriously folks. Where should I go?

You're seriously just gonna travel fuck all in the U.S. to go have pizza?
My favorite pizza is Chicago deep dish but that's not everyone's taste.

If you do end up there get the crab pizza.

 Re: Best Pizza In USA?
It depends on the style you like. In General NYC, NJ and philly ( and other parts of PA) have the best bulk of great different styles. Then it's all subjective. Some of the best pizza. Most states have at least one great spot.

 Re: Best Pizza In USA?
I wouldn't fly either, you might as well search for a pizza crawl in NYC and drive to it. Have 10 slices over the day from different spots

 Re: Best Pizza In USA?
I thought generally speaking that Chicago deep dish somewhere is considered the "best" pizza if you are looking for true deep dish pizza.

Pfft, flying around the US for the best pizza is child's play. Flying around the world, now that's admirable.

 Re: Best Pizza In USA?
Best pizza I've had is Pizzeria Bianco here in Phoenix, but obviously that's because I haven't tried many other states pizzas. As far as in NY, I prefer Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge. In Portland, Apizza Scholls.

pb&jealous. This is still making me giggle. I could spend $60 driving from here to Boston, or spend $90 commuting to NYC, eat a very expensive meal there...or pay a little more for a plane ticket.

 Re: Best Pizza In USA?
Just went to BMore and tried Matthews pizza. I was really let down but oh well. I didnt realize it was really just like a dive hole in the wall type place. The pizza was fine but nothing amazing. I coaxed a buddy into going with me so we had an enjoyable time anyway. We didnt even fly either, guy wanted to drive.

Who goes to Baltimore for pizza? You might as well have just gone to Hartford.

 Re: Best Pizza In USA?
I cannot believe you drove to Baltimore to eat that pizza. I told you it wasn't worth it!
I hope you at least got the crab pizza or ate crab in some capacity, because why else would you go to Baltimore for food.
