Re: who here has a MBA?
I did extremely well on the GMAT. I wasn't able to view my scores when I took it but the admissions officer I interviewed with was wondering I was even bothering applying there when I would so obviously get into my top choice (Wharton). I didn't find it that difficult TBH and greatly enjoyed going back to studying after working a couple years. I would rec. taking a class for it.
I assume you have a path youre following, but out of curiosity, what do you want to do? Why get an MBA? Part of me wonders why I bothered given where I am thinking of taking my career.

And yeah, I'm gonna take a GMAT class starting in late April which would lead to my June test date. Gotcha. The classes do wonders. I also found the gmat considerably easier than the far more challenging (for me) lsat which I only scored a 161 on. If you;'re accustomed to standardized tests, it isn't tough at all once you learn the tricks.

Re: who here has a MBA?
I probably won't be doing an MBA but I'm definitely going to get my master's right after I graduate, most likely an MAcc. Still, I'm planning on taking the GMAT this summer, woo!
But dude, I'll be starting my grad classes in Fall 2015. Though I probably won't be going to school on the east coast. Hoping for University of Austin.

Re: who here has a MBA?
If you can get your current company to pay for it, that would be the best thing possible. Pay attention to the details in your loan package. They are a pain in the ass to repay. I would not bother unless you get into a good to great school. Make some good connections at your current job and remember those contacts as they can help with recommendations to whatever school you choose to apply to and they can help in getting a job later.
As for taking a class on the GMAT, I would not recommend it. It helps as a refresher in math, I suppose, but a lot is simply based on intelligence.
I have a JD and I do not recommend it.

I'm starting my MBA soon too! Either Fall '14 or Spring '15, part-time.

Re: who here has a MBA?
I was actually gonna make a thread regarding school BS, 'cause last semester I started the credential program to become a teacher and had a very lousy experience. They put me in a classroom that had nothing to do with my subject matter (it was a class full of high school seniors applying for college, which requires no lessons etc.), which pretty much f-ed me over and the teacher pretty much kicked me out of her classroom. I guess some of it was my fault because I should've tried earlier and harder to make them know I wasn't getting the help I needed but eh. So right now I'm taking a break, I'm not even sure if I want to be a teacher but I think I needed these few months to just get my head right and yeah.

I had no time to get my MBA. It only takes 9 months, so I may go and get it later in life.

Re: who here has a MBA?
If you do get your MBA, please don't be the douchebro that name drops whatever business school they got into as an argument for why someone else's point is incorrect.
"I went to Kellogg" is something I hear all the time. Well good for you. Doesn't mean you are right and doesn't mean any, you know, actual work gets done.

I thought it was a prerequisite to have an MBA to join WOKJ.
