What do you want to be after Highschool/College
This is a question that has been on my mind since I learned that after school I would have to get a Job and join the real world / start supporting myself. I decided what I wanted to be in 3rd Grade, and since then I have been doing as much as I could to get to that point. I decided that I would be an Architect. Since then I have also added that I would like to be an Entrepreneur. I hope to be these two things in the dsitant future.
What do you want to be after Highschool / College :?:

I have no idea what I want to be. I've narrowed it down to law enforcement (FBI) and political consultant. I need to hurry up because I will graduate next year and need to decide if I want to pursue graduate studies or find a job.

I originally wanted to work for the FBI, but I don't meet the physical requirements. So I'm going into the medical field. After seven years of practice (when I'm around 36), I hope to apply to the CIA as a medical consultant.

Want to be a director but in the end I'll probably go into law enforcement.

CSIS is the equivalent of FBI in Canada. Stands for Canadian Security Intelligence Service

This is a question I've been struggling with for years. Since I'll be finishing up my freshman year of college shortly, the issue has been growing in significance. I first thought I wanted to be involved with the business aspect of movies, but this past year I've realized otherwise. I'd rather do something more 'significant' and intellectually stimulating/challenging. Plus I don't really like the concepts of money and mass media, at least not enough to make them the center of my career.
Now I've set my sights on psychology, possibly a research psychologist or something. I'm fascinated by the effects of drugs on the human body/psyche/behavior, but I don't know if that's something that will interest me my entire life. I've also recently realized that I'm captivated by weather, especially clouds and extreme weather phenomena (tornados, lightning, what have you). But I have no idea what kind of jobs are available to a 'professional meteorologist' outside of being a TV weatherman, which I have zero interest in. Howabout something like a tornado-chaser? I've actually thought about it, and I think it'd be thrilling and spellbinding. But who knows. I'm lost.

Don't worry...I was the same way my first year of college...lol even though im not to much older(im going to be a senior next fall) it happens to all of us. I suggest taking some psychology classes(psychology is my minor by the way ) and see how you like them...talk to and advisor, or go to some career workshops on campus

I'm actually in a psychology class right now, and I like it. The problem is, I don't know if I like it enough to pursue a life long career in it. I know there's no huge rush to find what I want to do, but it'd be nice to have it figured out sooner rather than later.
I've always been jealous of/perplexed by those people who've known what they wanted to be since kindergarten. How does that work?

Well, don't stop at just one psychology class...what you are in now is most likely an introduction course...or at least not an upperlevel course.
I didn't know what I wanted to be until college either...so dont fret;)

If I ever get my high school diploma, I hope to be a well paid video game tester.

I've had an effect on rusty.
I'll hook you up with a gun and badge, rusty. I'll probably be fired a few days later, but it'll be a fun ride for a couple days.

Someone that tries to be a good person - does that count? Eventually a good father; that is the most important goal.

Well, i've wanted to be a filmmaker since I was seven years old, so that is still my ultimate goal in life. I'd settle (what a sad word) for journalism or medicine, though.

I want to go into business and be in replenishment / product forecasting. A lot like what I'm doing now for movie predicting. My dream job would be to work for a studio to track numbers and predict future income.

International would definitely be harder, but I'd be open to anything if it had anything to do with box office.
