 Celebrity sightings
I'm sitting at a bar in LAX waiting for my flight right now. Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde are at the table next to me and I just had a brief conversation with them. I just got so starstruck lol

 Re: Celebrity sightings
Which terminal are you stuck at...? I've exhausted all of my LAX bar options - I usually do lounges these days.
How was your trip?
I go through waves where I see lots/no celebrities. Last celebrity I saw was Kristen Schaal (from the Daily Show/ Hazel on 30 Rock) at dinner in WeHo on Tuesday. Before that...a very pissed Kristen Chenoweth with her boyfriend in Santa Monica.
I've seen a lot this year. I think the list is: Neve Campbell, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor Johnson and his wife (who is 2x his age), Max Greenfield, Kelly Ripa, Lydia from Revenge (always at my spin class!), Ben Affleck and his entire family (multiple times, actually), and a few other people that I didn't personally recognize but was told were 'celebrities'...

 Re: Celebrity sightings
Anyways... I haven't had a ton of celeb sightings, as I don't travel a whole bunch, and I live in AZ. But here are some:
Donovan McNabb (Came into my old work with his family) Holly Madison (Was in Vegas chatting with someone and I rudely interrupted and got a pic) Busy Phillips (Cougar Town screening, she's from here so she came. Got an autograph and a pic) Wayne Brady (I think. At Disney World and he walked past us in line for a ride) Multiple Red Wings players (They were in town for a game, Dad, brother and I went downtown to their hotel, and walking through the lobby... Sergei Fedorov. He sat down with us in the lobby and chatted for a while. Very cool)
That's all I can remember right now.

 Re: Celebrity sightings
I have met Johnny Marr (the Smiths, Electronic, Modest Mouse), with whom I had a nice conversation outside the 9:30 Club, and much more briefly James Mercer (the Shins, Broken Bells).
I have never met anyone from the film industry, although Marr did play guitar on the Inception score.

 Re: Celebrity sightings
I haven't seen many celebrities outside of work. I've interviewed a shit load of celebrities, acted with a good amount. From my show I've met quite a few Wrestlers/ Pornstars. I'm trying to think outside of work (Though my show was so much fun though, I wouldn't consider that much work)
When I was a waiter: Michael Strahan/ Britney Spears/ Jason Kidd/ Whoopi Goldberg/ John Lithgow/ Diane Weist
I think the most memorable is my old comedy group did a sketch show in NYC (Usually only about 60 people in attendance) and Woody Harrelson was there visiting a friend. He came out with us afterwards. A lot of fun discussions.

 Re: Celebrity sightings
The only people I've met that Americans might know are Anthony Head and Caprice. I've never been a one to attend celebrity events or act like a crazy person just to see someone "famous", therefore I haven't met any celebrities. It really doesn't interest me. There are some celebrities I'd like to meet, but not because of their celeb status, but because they seem like interesting people with interesting lives.

We were all drinking Stella Artois so we talked about it briefly and then I mentioned that I enjoyed We're the Millers and that I would miss him on SNL next season! And yes, they're both very attractive in person. torrino wrote: How was your trip? Had a really great time! Did everything I wanted to in that time span, really. Went to a taping of The Tonight Show (Zooey Deschenal is so petite in person!) in Burbank, hung around Hollywood/went bar hopping with a girlfriend of mine there, "shopped" (i.e. looked around) on Rodeo Drive, drove around Beverly Hills and gawked at the houses, hung out in Santa Monica, drove down the PCH and went to Malibu and hung out at the beach, went to the Getty Center. I also took some of your food recommendations! I had the Godmother at Bay Cities which was incredible and also went to Father's Office. And of course I had In N Out Burger (for the first time, shockingly). I have to say that, while it was pretty darn good, I think Five Guys wins for me.

I saw Zooey at the ArcLight Premiere of Our Idiot Brother two years ago, I can definitely confirm this to be true. I too prefer 5G though that opinion is practically heresy here. Glad you dug the Godmother sandwich.

 Re: Celebrity sightings
glad you had fun
did you go anywhere else good to eat?
i prefer 5g's too. i know a few DMV transplants who give me crap for that. but, i really like options on my burger. i always go for the little bacon cheeseburger with jalapenos, tomato, lettuce, hot sauce, mustard, pickles, a little relish... so good.
also, i only do in 'n out drive-thru, which is always stupid long. usually takes at least 15m in westwood at least.
and in 'n out fries are pretty bad...

We're not having this discussion again. In N' Out is the best. Hands down. Always and forever.

father's office > all of 'em (right, libs??) Yeah I ended up staying in El Segundo at a Courtyard Marriott like 5-10 minutes from the airport. Good location, nice hotel, free parking/wi-fi, convenient enough to downtown. My room overlooked the Mattel headquarters if you're familiar with the area. Father's Office was good yep.

father's office > all of 'em (right, libs??) Technically, Five Guys shouldn't be in the convo because it's more in line with like... Chipotle. In N' Out is straight up fast food. And is the best.

 Re: Celebrity sightings
i don't agree with that at all. because it doesn't have a drive-thru, or because the burger flavor is somehow more 'gourmet' than in 'n out? both serve traditional, fast food burgers that take way longer than a mcdonalds/ wendy's because they're cooked as you or i would cook a burger the difference? the style of the restaurants (in 'n out = 50s mcdonalds; five guys = dive bar from hell), the spread (in 'n out = pink thousand island; five guys = you get your choices), and the drive thru. and, the quality. five guys is better

why does torri turn every thread into a fast food discussion?
