 Magazines question
When you are at the newsstand, are there ever magazines for lighting technology or similar industries?
Of course, being English, I just have no idea what the popular magazines, if any, are in the US..

 Re: Magazines question
Not really, thats more the kind of thing you may find a leaflet at a hardware store.
Not really popular enough to warrant it's own magazine. maybe a section, but that's it. Still you'd still probably need a book or magazine store. Typical news stands have newspapers and current magazines.

Typical news stands have newspapers and current magazines. Perhaps. But I was thinking maybe there was a magazine for technology (which would feature lighting) or a magazine for home/garden (which would feature lighting). When I say "lighting" I don't mean light bulbs, I mean proper fixtures (spotlights etc) for lighting up exhibitions, theater, events etc. Alternatively, there are many specialist magazines for lighting, for example mondo*arc magazine, so I just wondered if there was this type of magazine in the USA for decorative/event/DJ lighting and/or sound systems. Seen anything like that?

 Re: Magazines question
If there are and you already know the answer, why did you ask?

 Re: Magazines question
Again, they exist, but not on news stands. Thread Closed! No where else to go.
The best you'll get in a tech magazine is when something new comes along, like when remote Dimmers first came out.

 Re: Magazines question
I have never seen this on a newsstand alongside USA Today and People, but I found it online: http://www.professional-lighting.com/

 Re: Magazines question
Once in college we had a presentation of some company that makes various light solutions. They had their own magazine which they print every once in a while. They gave us a couple of them. I'm pretty sure you should be looking for something like that - a company magazine.
