 Kazaa and AIM Is it just me or are there problems with both these programs? I have downloaded both twice and am instantly kicked off. WTF is going on? Anyone else having problems mainly with Kazaa b/c I know rod said that AIM had problems

Not having AIM problems, but Kazaa is one of the worst programs out there. Get rid of it.

I want Kazaa so I can download music.Any other free music programs you recommend? AIM if you uninstall it and reinstall it you probally will have problems

Kazaa ruined my computer PERMANENTLY..do not get it...
Many recommend Ares or Ares Lite.

Nobody should EVER get Kazaa. SpyWare, AdWare, virus...ware..., and anything else that can lead to your computer blowing up at the slightest change of wind is loaded into Kazaa....unless of course you get the "Kazaa Lite Plus Plus Gold" edition.
I recommend WinMX, but I don't have much experience with those types of P2P programs. I recommend BitTornado and a steady source of .torrent files, but to eahc their own.

Bearshare is by far one of the best music downloading programs. Not only is the quality very clear, and good, but its very consistent, and when you search for music something always comes up. You can also download movies, and I got so much dirty files on my computer, if you know what I mean.

Stay away from Kazaa. There's really no reason to use it anymore with all of the alternatives out there. Kazaa is a bog of viruses, spyware, fake files...
Some good alternatives:
WinMX is great for music. Easy to use, fast downloads, good searh results...i'd recommend this one first.
Soulseek is great for underground music. Speeds aren't great, but it has good search results.
DC++ is pretty difficult to use, but once you get the hang of it, it's probably the best P2P out there. Like I said, though, steep learning curve.
eDonkey is really good for hard to find video files. Don't bother, though, unless you have high speed and are in the mood to tweak the program to hell.
Also, I don't get the love for Ares. It's like Kazaa with worse search results.

It works great. Good search results and fast downloads if you're on broadband.
It's fairly simple. You should be ready to go after installing it.

Kazaa is terrible. It's full of viruses and spyware, half the files don't work, and the quality sucks on the ones that do work.
Switch to Ares. It's the best out there.

And Ares is almost awful.

I've never downloaded a file on Ares that didn't work. The speed is fast, the quality is good, and it's basically virus-free.
