Well, everyone has to die sooner or later. Better to have him go and be out of his pain than to prolong it unneccesarily.

Indeed, Mike. Much like Terry Schavio, this was only inevitable, and to be honest I thought it was going to happen sooner.

How sad.

I agree with Mike and X that it is better for him this way than to live in pain.

Somehow it's hard to take you seriously when your avatar is just to the left making obscene movements.

No one's doubting your devoutness to catholicism. It's just rather ironic that you have an avatar that features a flailing penis.

Pope - Neo
Earth - Zion
Heaven/God - Matrix/The Architect

He's going to be one with the matrix  so it's all good.

I saw him when he was in Toronto. There's something to be said about a man who can get 1 million young people from around the world together to share their faith.

I'll be extremely sad when he passes away

Its very sad to see him like this. He's been suffering for a long time - but has always forged ahead with his duties, travelling etc. I was a kid when he came to Melbourne back in 1986 and remember it clearly - he had such a good effect on everyone. The great thing is he has always been like a cool regular guy. When he was younger he loved sports and was a playwrite. Later he would physically save Jews during WW2. He would then go on to battle hard against Communism - especially in Poland.

I hope and pray he gets better soon.
