I guess it was only a matter of time before this stuff started popping up on the web, huh.
I'm pretty sure that they're violating some sort of an agreemenet with the company where they got the database from. I hope their ass gets sued for breaching the contract

We get directories (for Police use) that have the same information in them in book form. I'd have to check again, but I believe they compile the information from vehicle registrations.
Anyhow, despite my unlisted number I'm in there too. Great... now my stalkers know where to find me. Soon they will be snapping pictures of me naked in my back yard.

yellowpages.com
click people search.
The info in many ways has always been available on the net but for a price. These guys are mainly offering it for free though they also seem very up to date, unlike yellowpages.com
did a few searched right now.
They are soooo getting the boot from google. They're spamming search engines.

haha...I guess the question is, how did you find such a site , Eagle?
Seriously, if they are putting names and addresses up for anybody to see, I believe they are in violation of the Privacy Act, which states "No agency shall disclose any record which is contained in a system of records by any means of communication to any person, or to another agency, except pursuant to a written request by, or with the prior written consent of, the individual to whom the record pertains [subject to 12 exceptions]." 5 U.S.C. § 552a(b).
Legal action could be taken.
In the meantime , Eagle, it might be best to remove that link if it's got any of our members listed.

But things like car registratiosn and stuff are a matter of public record. Your address and phone number for altoof peopel exist in the phone book, collegs sometiems make their studenst databases available anywhere. This is info you can get at alot of websites..online yellowpages give out names and addresses.
People should realize just how little information about them is "private."
You can read the whole thing here
Finding a site like this is easy, any memer here who wanted look up stuff on another memeber would have no trouble as long as they had a first and last name, and a location helps alot as well. If you want more inof though then an address and phone number you ahve to shellout money. All these sites do is compile information in the public domain and give it you, so instead of goign to various city halls and such, they get it all for you.

Figures how easy this is to compile as everywhere you go they ask the same standard questions on applications - lots of times they say it is to run a credit report.
- Social Security number - for filing
- Date of Birth
- Mother's maiden name - at least now they are getting better as you can supply a different passcode.
Etc.
I also thought it was crazy that lots of places turned your Social Security number into an ID #.

So you decided to post it, and then a few posts later, say that you're not allowed to post it? Your brilliance just baffles us less intelligent folk sometimes...

Since someone took the above advice and edit out the web-site link.
I would like to suggest, if you want to, should all of the above addresses that have been listed be also be edited out.

No self respecting Michigander would reside on OHIO street. I'd even rather slum it up in Philly than live on a street named Ohio.

The last bit is technically on the shady side of legal, at this point SSN numbers shoudl be given up as secretive since for exmaples ciolleges often use them as ID numbers.

People with cares registered in their names, who have had ulties and such in their names are more liekly to be there then othres, so al the odler memebrs who have lived on their own will show up, alot of hte younger not so much.
edit; i see no reaosn to take out your post, anyone can serach and find personal info about any member with their name, it is not hard at all...the international people you'll have to pay before you get stuff from sites based in the US, but if they live in teh US, you can find alot out online.
