I was thinking tobacco (because you posted an imag ein a leather jacket? I think?) but since you just used the word ganja, I'm now thinking BOTH.

I'd smoke for the aesthetic value of it if my mom's three-pack-a-day habit didn't scare the fuck out of me. I would never touch it as is.

I'm generally sober as hell, though. I know my stuff and half my friends are degenerates, but eh. Having old hippies as parents really takes the curiosity factor out.

AND THE BLACK ONES SMELL GOOD! Though, people stopped buying those because the price is outrageous so when I'm drunk I can't really bum those anymore.

The more you're around smoke, the more tolerable it is. Now that my mom's confined to smoking mostly in the bedroom, I gag and get nausea when that nicotine smell hits. When I was a kid, that smell was great, like home.

My Dad smokes, but he's only allowed to smoke outside or in his office, so I'm never around it. Never touched a cig.

Yeah, well, my mom is paranoid of people seeing her, has osteoporosis and because of being on disability, is always walking around in pajamas. No outside for her.

Good. It's a stupid habit and is 100% pointless when you're sober. When you're drunk, idk, you don't really smell the tobacco anyway, and the taste is more tolerable, and I guess it feels sorta cool to have shit going down your throat when the rest of you is numb and loco but I'm probably just saying that to justify social smoking.

I don't care if they go outside and do it, as long as I don't have to smell it.

I think Libs has a point because in LAME-GIN-IA they don't have a smoking ban at bars. In NY, DC, MD, smokers need to go outside (where, honestly, it doesn't smell as stale and gross)

Smoking is disgusting and I'm not trying to be surrounded by people blowing toxic death air at me from every direction. They should be the ones who have to leave, not me.

Though I kinda hate the smell of smoke, too. Though, it does smell good in a "rugged" way. Especially cloves!

I'm happy to say that I haven't touched a cigarette in months. Not that my little "I smoke when I'm shitfaced" habit is really doing me any harm (or the people I'm with, given that 1/3rd of them are smoking and the other 2/3rds are probably also shitfaced)

Well, I don't because I hate it so much that I avoid those situations (as in, I will literally wait an hour for a table to open up at a restaurant rather than being seated immediately in the smoking section).

I'm just saying: on principle.
