Idk if anyone else is experiencing this but I failed to prevent this from happening. It seems I've had 3 credit card accounts get closed on me in the past month and one just got closed yesterday just as I was thinking of charging something on it to keep it active. Anyway, they were closed partially due to inactivity but the pain of it all is that these damn closures attack my credit score like a demon when I lose what I think was 15k in available credit. I'm gonna have to keep on top of this and have each card have something auto charged each month so there is always a tiny balance I can pay off each month.

Has anyone else been experiencing this lately? Clearly an effect of the economy and the further tightening of credit, I think.

I was reading a site that said I should try getting those accounts reported as "closed by account holder" to mitigate the damage.

As far back as November the CC companies warned that they would be closing accounts to limit potential long term damage.
