Post WOKJ Movie Awards Nom Show Countdown (moved to 5:00PM PST!)
One day left! So figure I will start the thread now. As I said in the main thread, I'm excited, and the nominees so far are shaping up to have mix flavors to make a lot of people happy, although there will still be snubs for sure. People can start making their predictions here. :) Please do not post last minute FYC ads in this thread; use the other existing one for that purpose. Also please do not post your ballot here. Allow the process to carry out itself and leave the suspense open until tomorrow night. If you haven't submitted your ballot, check the main thread and PM one of us. The main purpose of this is for predictions, discussions, and a transition toward tomorrow's show.

Main Thread

For Your Consideration Thread

Category Clarification Thread

Hmmm, can my ballot be later than the deadline because I am seeing Sideways tomorrow night? The ballot would be in some hours before the Nominations show...

Arthur, could you prepare a ballot without Sideways first? If Sideways is the only movie you're going to see by tomorrow night, you can make a ballot now and pm it to us. You can rank the nominees from 1 to 5 and let us know which categories you want to nominate Sideways in once you return from the theater tomorrow night. Then it will take us less time to replace the ones you have at No. 5 with Sideways.

I can also move it to 6:30PM, PST, which was what I originially planned but thought it'd be 1:30am your time already and wouldn't be convenient for the European folks.

Okay, I'll PM the first draft of the ballotbefore Sideways and the changes at around 3 PM PST when I come back.

5-30 PM sounds good to me, since it's already 2:30 am my time.

I will have seen three Best Picture noms by the time of the voting: The Aviator, Sideways and Ray. By the time of the 2nd voting round, I'll have seen all five.

Oh and here are my predictions for Best Picture:

Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind
Million Dollar Baby
The Aviator
Sideways
Kill Bill Vol. 2

Yeah, in more than a number of categories, some surprising going-to-be snubs(well, at least surprising to me) are making serious comebacks with each new ballot, and it makes me happy in some and not so happy in others. This is brutal. :)

Xia, remember the guessing thread I locked up? Do you want to start a nom guessing thread here in the countdown or do the three of you think we should just wait until after ballots are in for the finals before starting a winners prediction thread?

I like to use this one as the prediction thread. As long as people don't reveal who/which film they voted in any form (no "who should win" or "I voted for ..."), we should be fine to start guessing now.

Are mine THAT bad? Let's face it, though. Eternal and Million Dollar dominate most lists (including my actual best of, heh).
