Do you want the Starz! Movie Channel for... FREE?!
There's a way for everyone to enjoy the Starz! Movie Channel for FREE! on your home computer. It's a great way to catch some great movies you've missed at no extra charge. Whatever is playing on the actual channel will be playing on your computer with this one link. It's great, and I plan to use it. You all should too. First of all, I'd recommend a broadband connection. Dial-up people might not have the best quality. Also, it requires Real Player. If you don't have RealPlayer, download it from here, free of charge.
RealPlayer 10: http://www.download.com/RealPlayer/3000 ... 55189.html
Once you have that, just enter this link into your address bar, and it'll automatically open RealPlayer and start connecting you to the Starz! Channel stream. Once you have done this, you'll see what's currently playing on the channel. For me, it comes a little distorted the first minute or so, but just wait, and the picture will become crystal clear, as will the sound.

Maybe soon, we can all watch the same movie one Saturday night. Ya know, a razzie winner or something.
Enjoy!

Cool! I'm not getting the best quality. The picture and sound are great, but the images go from one shot to another without movement...and I have broadband. :???:

I don't know, I tried it (yes, I have the right version of RealPlayer), and nothing came up after a good 5-10 minutes.
Am I doing something wrong?

I'm 'watching' Freaky ?Friday right now. It's in black and white (which I can tolerate) and it's in full screen (which I can BARELY tolerate) but my streaming is, apparently, very bad. I get a new picture every 15 seconds or so.
EDIT: I reloaded it, and now it's in color. Still don't have any decent streaming.

Try the following, Libs.
Open RealPlayer. Go to file and then to open. Copy/Paste the following: http://play.rbn.com/?url=realone/starz/ ... twidth=330
You should see Freaky Friday
sommie, maybe the quality's bad because we've all been watching it. I don't think Starz! Ticket has many customers as it is...

Freaky Friday is now on.
But can't watch it unforunately. I'm getting more of a sloooow slide show of pictures than a stream.

Well, I got the movie (in color) and audio.
But the picture doesn't move. I'll give it some time.

Working good for me, I paused for like 5 minutes, then the playback was perfect after a slight distortation

It's encoded at 600 kbps. If you're internet connection isn't that fast, chances are you aren't going to receive the feed very well.
I'm averaging around 560...It'd be nice if you guys can all check: Tools-Playback Statistics

No, you can only download the upcoming movies IF you have Starz! Ticket. That's what I have (er...the trial). The Starz! channel stream is part of the package for the $13 or so a month (crappy service. unless you want the stream once it's "privatized" it isn't worth it).
The stream works for anyone. The movie downloading (if you've paid!) only works for people in the US.
