 Any Reliable/OK IQ Tests Online? Anyone know any? I don't take them seriously (even professional ones), but I want to try out some of the problems they have. Also, I'm just curious.

I took a professional one (result was like 140), and they are more worthy than IQ tests online. If you're that curious, go for it.

They are the folks who make them up. And a lot of bookstores have them.

any IQ test isn't accurate because it usualy just rates you upon 3 different types of intelligences. There are like 6 or 7 in total.

Guys, don't take these things seriously; I just wanted to work out some problems, and they usually throw some nifty ones at you. The ones I tried today were boring, bleh.
Anyways, IQ scores can have virtually no effect on other aspects of a person. Also, a lot of this has to do with motivation.
To give an example of why IQ tests are a bad measurement of intelligence:
2 groups of African Americans were asked to take the test in a psychological study. The difference was that the first group, in the questionnaire preceding it, was made aware of their race (one of the questions asked something like 'What race are you'?). The other group was not reminded of their race. Obviously, the second group fared better. Why? The first group gave in to pre-conceived stereotypes about Black people. When they were asked later what they were thinking, they replied that it was useless to try to do their best since eerybody considered them stupid anyways.
In another study, Asians were divded into 2 groups, with one being reminded of being Asian, and the other not. They were then given a math test. The Asians who were reminded of being Asian did better. Why? Because they were encouraged by the stereotype that Asians are good in math and science.
