Tara Reid Says She's Smart And Commands Respect..
http://entertainment.msn.com/movies/hotgossipc
Tara Reid says she's smart and commands respect and is tired of the public thinking she's nothing more than a floozy, 24 hour bad girl party chick.. She says Quote:
"I am a very smart girl, and people don't realize that," the bare breast-brandishing starlet declares to the New York Post, which snarkily titles its article, "Look How Smart I Am!" "People think I am America's party girl, which is just stupid. I have done 24 movies and I am creating my own TV show."
Well Gee, out of those 24 films she's done, how many of them were hits more than BOMBS like her latest and greatest effort "Alone in the Dark" which debuted at #14 on the box office chart in it's opening weekend??? I think if she wants an Oscar, she's gonna have to fire her agent and start being a little more selective now isn't she???

She's such a horrible actress, and I don't think she is very bright. She just seems like the typical dumb blonde to me.

Definitely not a good actress and she says she wants to change her image and then 5 minutes later you see pics of her getting trashed on the beach. She can't have it both ways.

You know an actress is bad when most critics don't talk about how bad your movie is in general, but how bad your performance is. Critics were very blunt and harsh about her performance in Alone In The Dark. Here are some quotes.
"Tara acted much better at P-Diddy's birthday party."
"Think of the lamest horror movie you've ever seen. Now think of Tara Reid in the lamest horror movie you've ever seen."

Normally, smart Ac-tors who feel they are being Underestimated take a little time off to gain Street Cred on Broadway. If Reid survives the theatre critics in New York, then she will gain some :Respect: and maybe some roles that don't cater to the horny college crowd.

Berry Slams Hollywood
World Entertainment News Network
January 25, 2005American actress HALLE BERRY has accused Hollywood producers and directors of being prejudiced against black women.
Berry hoped she had made a major breakthrough when she won the Best Actress ACADEMY AWARD in 2002 for her role in MONSTER'S BALL, but she has had to resort to developing films herself to create the kind of parts she wants.
The 38-year-old says, "The struggle for the woman of colour to find good material is still very present, and it's a struggle I fight every day. I try to make the best out of what comes to me but it's going to be about making my own reality really.
"I've been called a n**ger straight to my face...but there's also much more subtle insidious ways that racism occurs here in Hollywood.
"I don't care what anyone says - they may think it doesn't exist, but it's usually those who aren't black who think that." (SC/WNTMA/GES)

Well I am not black, and I dont't think she should be complaining.
She gets paid how much? My lord what I wouldn't do for a single paycheck from any of these whiny hollywood stars. I personally think this is one of 2 things ....
Either it is a ploy to get her more roles .... or she is has a lot of issues with white people.
I hate people pulling the race card all the time. I honestly believe that if studios believed she was a cash cow and could pull in results, she would get the parts. She is simply upset at herself for the horrid career choice that was Catwoman, and lashing out.
If ANYONE in a position of any authority in Hollywood called her a n***er then I would hope they would be fired, and she would take it directly to the media, exposing them, the company. But this just seems ridiculious.

If she's complaining about a lack of black-focused screenplays, she may be right. There are probably fewer available black parts available for black actors, simply because demand for black roles is lower. But that's not really discrimination in the way she might be suggesting. Discrimination is when there is a part where race doesn't matter, and somebody passes her over for a white actress only because the white actress is white. But, Berry had a BIG part opposite Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day. They could have used a white actress for the part, but they chose her. For Catwoman, they could have gotten any race actress for that part, but they chose her. Ditto for Gothika.
I'm not sure what she wants.

yea .. i dont really think they chose her cause they thought she was black and bring in the black demographic ... they took her cause she fitted the bond girl role and they liked her in it.
please ... just the other day, i was reading on RT about some guy who's friend (yes, very indirect, i know) commented how superman should be black cause its racist today to still keep these heros all white. If this guy was in front of me, i'd slap him.

While I am not saying she is right, race effects one's ability as a cash cow, and let me just add that Halle Berry is half white, and yet she the bigggest "black actress" in Hollywood at this point.
In the black community the fact that Berry is hlaf white, is in fact an issue, and a valid one.

I agree with her statement about being smart and commanding respect. How many people wouldn't want to be a world known actress, get paid millions, probably stop working and retire when ever she wants, and being a sexy, hot or sluty ( depending on your viewpoint ) to probably get whatever she wants, most times.
To me > that is smart and commands respect.

She shouldn't complain too much. She's a horrible actress and still earns tons of money for cinematic bombs like Alone in the Dark..

"I have done 24 movies and I am creating my own TV show."
Now, Tara , Honey, if you want to be taken seriously for being smart....try some decent grammar, and who knows...big words? No wait...dont bother, dont wanna frazzle your last braincell.
Also...perhaps you should take roles as something other than a bimbo in bad movies....before trying , and horrifically failing to pull of intellectual as a scientist in....an adaptation of a Playstation game with Uwe Boll and Stephen Dorf? Oh yes, i can see how Taras being totally underestimated :D
THE WISDOM OF TARA REID
Quote: Reid said. "He was awesome and such a great actor. And running from monsters? It was just a whole different beat to this movie." Sorry tara. Lets rewind for a second. Are you 12? Nooooo, therefore lets not use "Awesome" in an interview again, shall we? Calling Christian Slater a "great actor" is....well like calling a diseased carcus attractive. Then, Tara. Lets also try to avoid blanking your own question by saying some shit that makes no sense. Quote: Dearest Tara decides that its time to drop another bombshell of wisdom and insight on us when she lets the world know "I think feet are kinda gross. They smell, they look weird, they're dirty. I just don't like 'em.When I was little my dad, when he would come home from work, used to make us take off his shoes and it was awful, because they would smell so bad. We would, like, cry. Forget it if we had to take his socks off - it would be like it was punishment! Since then I've never liked feet. I think they're gross. When I was little I never used to let my feet off the bed. I'd think a shark or a monster was gonna bite 'em so my feet could never hang off the bed
Well, Tara, feet may be "kinda gross" to, the 12 year old mentioned above. However, for an actress to be taken seriously - she does not use the valuable time to expose herself [literally] to the media by giving her opinon on....feet. Yes, its true that Tara Reid is a perplexual whirlpool of emotional angst after her undeniably tough childhood....which involved the terribly task which she would "Like, Cry" over.....removing her dads shoes. OH GOD, let it not be true Miss Reid, that you were forced into such a heinous crime, ESPECIALLY considering your clear dislike for feet. Quote: "I can't look at a glass of anything when I'm out, forget about picking it up. I see the headline 'Tara Reid drunk!'
Hmm, dearest Tara. Slight mistake there. When you say "Headline" you mean "humour story on page 28 of the National Enquirer because they couldnt scoop anything on Jennifer Aniston that month" do you not? You crazy C lister you. Quote: "I had a fur coat on, so when I took the coat off, the coat was heavy, and the strap came out with the coat. They were like,'Tara, let me see the dress, let me see the dress.' "I didn't see the strap fall down, so I'm smiling like an idiot... Then, when someone came up to me, I was like, 'Oh, I'm so embarrassed!'
You were smiling like an idiot Tara? Well, they say acceptance is the first stage to bettering yourself. And i believe being "So embarrased" involved a septic toungelashing threatneing paparazzi if they printed the image.
Poor Tara - if she didn't have a terrible boob job i probobly would be more sympathetic towards her. But she never really comes across as .....well, bright. Trawling around with the dumbest girl in history, aka Paris Hilton, and "i dont know which way my boobs are pointing today, let me just ask my suspicously not-me sounding singing voice whats goin on with my titties" Lindsay Lohan on the party circuit - which every other actor with any reputation in Hollywood avoids like the plague to lead a normal life, possibly isn't the best idea and suggests to most people that you've got about as much depth as a puddle. Especially not being so bright by basically making a statement to say "IM SOOO SMRT, LK IM MAKIN MY OWN TV SHOWWW! N I LIKE ACTED IN 24 FILMS....I CANT EVEN COUNT THAT HIGH IN MY HEAD!" before getting distracted by her seeping boobies.
Well, i like Tara Reid...how about you guys To be honest, despite my rare spearing of this celebrity. I do kind of feel a smidgen sorry for her

Well thats nice Michael. The other day, you were commenting on how people shouldn't talk a certain way about those they haven't met. And now this?? you're not judging their movie or acting, you're judging the amount of braincells in their head??
but i guess this is less of an insult than someone looking like a man i guess.

Yes i know this was highly hypocritical of me -and was anticipating you'd bring this up . But theres a difference from someone being totally dense that she would star in horrible, terribly written films, mostly as a dumb blonde - and expect to be taken seriously. By ANYONE; and people calling an actress a man just because they dont like how they look.
Tara Reid is sizzling. But shes not bright. But yes, im being a bit vile to Tara Reid, who i actually dont mind as an actress. But actresses who whine about trivial shit piss me off .

whats wrong with talking about feet?
the girl has millions. shes married, parties .... makes crap but gets paid millions ... i dont know what you think but you gotta be pretty smart to be so rich and yet not have to produce quality work.
see, i can spin it too ...
yet you have issues with people thinking that garner looks like a man!
dude, i don't think Britney Spears is hot. I do not think she looks like a man
I dont think a lot of women are hot. I do not think THEY look like men.
I find garner has a hot body. But i'd be lying if i said i didn't think her face has manly features. And i think everyone in that thread made that pretty clear.
