Didn't really love him, but he was a British talk show and entertainment legend. Sad to see him go, but with so many people dying recently, there is no longer any shock.

89-year-old British character actor Frank Finlay also died. Notable roles include Iago opposite Laurence Olivier's Othello (for which he received an Oscar nomination) and Porthos in Richard Lester's Musketeers trilogy alongside Oliver Reed and Faye Dunaway.

There are so many deaths this year. It might do to create an Obituaries subforum.
I actually suggested this idea at a musician's forum following the death of Paul Kantner, to allow the discourse while not bumming out us older folks, but the forum rejected it.
They want the death notices and discussions in a general subforum, to commemorate.
I say they want it up front in our faces as shock value to sell more albums.
