 Ottawa's Shit ass music
With no mullah for CDs and my satellite radio antenna broken, i'm forced to listen to radio for the last few months. In Montreal, we had a Classic Rock station which was fun but since I've moved to Ottawa, the only rock station seems to play the current bands which are like ...volcanoes erupting in my ears.
Then they played Evanescence. And it reminded me of this clip. cept instead of saying "That's not funny" at the end, I want to scream out "That is not singing!"

How long will it take bands to realize that singing loud with just a good voice does not equal passionate singing.

Your case is getting stonger by the minute. If you sue them for enough, I think you may be able to buy any CD you've ever wanted. Know you're thinking.

I hate Evanescence too. They should make like their name and "disappear gradually; vanish; fade away."

I don't think Ev is like current bands at all. The typical modern band is a group of wimpy guys singing about a love they are pining over. Like Snow Patrol, The Shins etc. Evanescence is more retro. If you like classic rock you should like them since a lot of classic rock in the 70s and 80s was little more than guys screaming their heads off like Spinal Tap.

You're thinking of metal. There was a lot of rock from the 70s and 80s that was good.

Even rock bands like Rolling Stones, The Who and other legends screamed their heads off, especially in the 70s. Maybe they are metalish, I'm not sure on the definitions. I just remember my older brother and sister listened to some loud crap and they didn't like metal.

But not in that horrible whiney screech that Amy Lee uses. God I hate Evanescence.

Haha, you still listen to the radio.
Fortunately, there are still some decent college and avant-garde stations here, though I could still find that music a lot quicker online.

Evanesence are a band I'd throw into the Hair Band category. While Hairbands were sort of rebellious, they were shite in that they sounded like Ev does but really had no heart or soul in their music. Hairbands also fall in the so bad, its good category for me. Ev .... haven't heard much at all so I'll withhold my judgement on that

Speaking of classic rock stations, Journey's "Dont stop Believin" is popping alot in the radio for some reason.

Just think of that "Take That" video and remember you can listen to worse.
