I mean rottentomatoes.com, yahoo.com, and imdb.com have lamer forums than others. But that's not the point. The thing is that most ex-BOMers (or most of you guys here) despise Sean Salisbury for his actions, and I think there'll be most-hated administrator or moderator in the future of KJ forum, will be? Correct me wrong, but here's the endless cycle:

1. The forum becomes a considered hip
2. Then the admin or mod comes to piss users off.
3. Most people leave the forum, leaving the whole board either an angry-war-fighting (i.e. IMDB, Yahoo, or RT) or 99% ghost town (e.g. BOM)
4. Repeat #1-3 over and over until what....

The thing is that:

1.)We won't allow douchebags to get power.

2.)Douchebag users can be kept in check.

To add to that:

3) want2write is a douchebag user.

4) want2write needs to be kept in check.

What a ridiculous suposition. As if we would actually get power-hungry (by we I mean we the users of KJ, I can say nothing of the mods).

I think you are confusing a lot of us. A few despise Sean, but not everyone does. Most of us, you know, those with an IQ greater than their shoe size, know that Sean is probably a decent enough person in real life, and just probably is not suited to run a forum. Hey, not all of us are great at something, no matter how hard we try. I suck at sports, no need for me to try and become an athlete, so perhaps he needs to realize that running a forum ain't his thing.

As for some dumb fuck taking over KJ and going on a power trip, and perhaps even going on a deleting spree (what asshole would do such a thing?), I HIGHLY doubt Eagle would allow someone to be a moderator or an administrator, unless they were qualified for the job.

But i will say - sure people really really dont like Sean, but at the end of the day the guy thinks hes doing the best thing for BOM - he was being painted as this pompus asshole , however true that may be, by users at the forums - and when FOX or WB comes onto BOM to scan through the forums to perhaps gauge crowd anticipation et all - then seeing people calling Sean names that i didnt even know existed until BOM is not exactly good PR for the 'buisness'. Now is it?

I think BOM would rather have a filtired, purified userbase that rants and raves about how great the site is - how accurate and rugged Brandon is and how amazing BOM is at everything ever - including milking its userbase with more adverts per page than a cable network shows in a night. Either way, i think everyones finally over hating Sean and Brandon. Which is good news for the community - and the fact that y'all havent deserted KJ like you did to poor Amit's Dailysmile is also a good indicator that the userbase may finally be stabilised somewhere else.
