 Re: Top 5 Condiments
Also... I don't think cheese dips should be allowed. Because you don't really put them ON anything. 1. Cholula 2. Buffalo Sauce 3. Soy Sauce 4. Honey 5. Gravy 6. Syrup I'm not including BBQ sauce because the only way I like it is if it's already on something. I don't like adding extra/dipping. http://www.sbnation.com/a/condiment-reckoning-bracket

 Re: Top 5 Condiments
If we're including "spices" then jump Pepper into my #1 slot because PEPPER.
But it's not a condiment. Because spices aren't condiments. You must be able to dip and add onto. Not one or the other.

 Re: Top 5 Condiments
Hmm... is garlic a condiment? That's a good question.
Because I LOVE garlic.

Uh, mayonnaise on a burger and for fries. Mustard on a hot dog. Ketchup on scrambled eggs. Old Bay on various items, including popcorn.

 Re: Top 5 Condiments
Seriously? This is like the hardest question ever.
1. Creamy Bleu Cheese (this is literally my all time favorite. I dip my fries/tenders/wings/whatever in it) 2. Ranch (about on the same level of Bleu Cheese) 3. Spicy Brown Mustard (I know most of you probably have never been to Syracuse, but there is a hot dog factory called Hoffman's which make the best hot dogs and coneys in the history of man kind. Literally the only hot dogs I'll eat. They make THE BEST mustard) 4. Ketchup (But I don't use it nearly as much as my first two choices, obviously. I usually only eat it on a burger or a hot dog). 5. Mayo (I'm not a HUGE fan and as I get older, I end up using less and less of it. Still though, it's pretty bangin' on a sub or a sandwich)

1. Mayonnaise 2. Tomato Kethcup 3. BBQ Sauce 4. Seafood Cocktail 5. Salad Cream
But also, there's loads of dips that go GREATLY with nachos, I just don't know there specific names. So you can insert guacamole, tzatziki etc. in at #3.

 Re: Top 5 Condiments
What ranch brand is optimal? Hidden Valley? Kraft? Newman's Own? Lighthouse? Generic? Other?
I find that you can never go wrong with Hidden Valley but I have ran into a couple local variants that are better.

 Re: Top 5 Condiments
Chippy wrote: Salt isn't a condiment. Incorrect. The word condiment comes from the latin word "condire" which means to pickle, a salt based process. The first condiment most early humans would have tasted was the salt they used to preserve their food.

No. If you can't dip it AND add it on, it's not a condiment.

 Re: Top 5 Condiments
No. It is the definition of a condiment.
Nobody in my life/anyone ever has ever referred to a spice as a condiment.
