Well, my thread over at BOM's dead Reel Life got no response ( ) so I decided to create one here.


I joined BOM today exactly one year ago, Dec. 29th, 2003. That's when I discovered there was a forum (I had never joined a forum before anywhere on the net, didn't know what the hell it was). FUnny thing is, and get ready for this guys, I had visited the site since 1998, more or less frequently.

So ya, it's been a year. Wow...what a waste of time

Not as much of a waste as it was reading your posts.

See, if you had a response like that in store for me this time LAST year, you coulda saved me hours of posting

I went to the BOm amin site starting in 1998, I didn't join the forum till Dec 2002, mostly because I actually don't like forums much.

I couldn't believe there were others interested in the box office

I was shocked to see people actually making predictions. It made me feel a little bit more 'normal'.

Hahaha, I think what I just wrote sounded funny.

Forums by and large bore me after about a month.

I only stuck around BOM past like month one because of particular posters.

Ya, I think the posters definitely made it worthwhile to stick around. Lots of good people, lots of people you could engage with.

It might have been bABA (then Arsibaba). I do remember Mr. X and rusty . Those three are still 3 of my favourite posters, always have been.

I didn't notice you until Black Magic appeared, and you did with him. I'm glad you're posting more frequently at KJ's now

My official one year anniversay is comming up in April.

That brings a tear to my eye. Remember when it was me, you, bABA, and Rusty? We all used to "hang out" on BOM. All of us still interact, but it doesn't feel the same. Mainly because bABA rarely talks to me on here, and I don't know. There aren't many that I consider consistent to "hang out" with on here. Perhaps you, Box, matatonio. But, it seems more spread out for me, for who I "hang out" with. Oh hell, who I talk to. I want to sound sentimental with hang out, but it ain't cuttin' it.

Well I posted like 20 times between May 2003 and Summer 2004. If Black Magiv had no come back I would not have.

I had very specific reasons for leaving, with no intention of coming back.

Ah yes, those were grand times. Haha, we sound like old people. Thing is, I think we're all posting a little bit less. I sure am I posted like 50-55 posts/ day, almost as addicted as Lecter is right now to KJ ( ).

Happy anniversary, Box! I joined just a few weeks before you, if my memory is correct. For some reason it seems like we've been around a lot longer than just a year. It feels like I've been inflicting you people with my writings for at least 5 years.

Anyhow, before you know it, it'll be our 40th anniversary and we'll still be typing away in our respective nursing homes.
