 How good is your hearing?
Hearing Test
I could only get to 18K.

Lat me guess, when I turn my sound up and listen very closely a ghost is going to pop up and scream at me, causing me to have to change not only my pants, but my sheets too?
Or maybe its legit...but I sure as hell am never clicking another "hearing" or "concentration" test again. :o

She's all like "hey, can you find whats wrong with this picture, grampa sent it to me and i cant figure it out"...I didn't talk to her for a week...youre supposed to be able to like, yknow, trust your mom. Especially when youre like, 12 or something :o

No its not one of those things. You click on a frequency, and see if you can hear it.

I'm completely deaf in my right ear so my hearing isn't very good, as you can imagine.

My speak was high up, though not at its full, Id say 3/4th up, and I could all of the them, right up to 22,000.
Strange. I always thought I had bad hearing?

Your link doesn't work. My comp says it's an email address.

Hmm, I dont know how to fix it exactly, cause it works for me. Just trying copying, and pasting into your URL box.

I read that to 'listen', one should close their eyes and concentrate on the directions sounds are coming from.. Left, right, behind, above, in front... Oddly it works very well... Better than just classifying the sounds by frequency or beat... 'surround sound', so to speak...

We did a simple test in physics last year. I had some of the best hearing in the class. I made it to around 18.5 or 19. Someone made it all the way up to 22 and supposedly beyond that, although I'm going to venture that he was bluffing.

I can easily hear 22. I bet I could hear 24.
I thought my hearing was terrible. When I was a little kid I remember always having the best in my class, but I thought my iPod had killed my hearing.

Could only hear up to 17. Concerts must've killed my ears.

I could only hear up to 14 for sure, 15 faintly - but that's no surprise. I used to wear hearing aids as a kid, and probably should still wear them, but I don't. I just sort of stopped. By the time I was in high school, I stopped wearing them altogether. Suddenly, getting green and blue hearing aids wasn't as fun and cool as I thought it was.
My main problem is hearing certain sounds, like "s" sounds or "m" sounds. I'll often confuse those sounds with other sounds, and words will blend together and I will hear something totally different come out of people's mouths. You'd be surprised some of the weird stuff I thought I've heard people say. It's kinda like that word game called "Mad Gab", where you read out sentences (that make no sense) quickly to figure out what it sounds like. I hear sentences that make no sense, and have to say "pardon me" 2 or 3 times until it finally registers.
The worst people for me are mumblers and people who don't enunciate. Those people irritate me because I can never understand what they are saying, but I also irritate them because I have to say "pardon me?" a gazillion fucking times. I feel like this sometimes probably hurts me with making first impressions on dates, because I say "pardon me?" all the time. But it's not because I'm not listening, it's just because I have poor hearing.
Anyhow... enough of that rambling.
Peace,
Mike.

How accurate is this? I can hear a faint noise at 22, but maybe it's just the headphones. I used headphones as they would be more accurate, no? Speakers start making a humming sound when you turn them way up.

I could hear 'em all, though my speakers were turned all the way up and I was using headphones. Would that affect it?
