 Where's Archie Gates?
It's been almost two weeks since his last post. I miss his concise wit and humorous commentary.

It'd be much more lucrative for you to be 'whoring' him for yourself.
Perhaps this site could become one of his regular tricks. I'm sure Loyal would be willing to front the fee.

There was an incident with a Bear and Vanilla ice cream, he'll be missed.

Did you read his very last post? Maybe he's not as happy about KJ as we would have thought.

Ooh, burn!!
Point taken. Nevertheless, my question stands. If he doesn't show up soon, we might have to form a search party.
Should that fail, we could employ the services of a certain Montana P.I.

If I was a betting man, I'd say that X.P.I. would be much more helpful to your investigation.
Then again, I'm not a betting man. It's questionable whether or not I'm a man.

Finding Archie Gates is definitely a worthy cause for Montana PI. I'll put the message out we're in need of his services. I have suspiciously strong ties to the uber-sexy PI, but I assure you we are separate individuals. He wears a hat and has a mustache, and I do not.
I don't want to step on Montana P.I.'s ground, but I can't help but wonder if Eagle had him killed? Or if he and dolce were the same person? Or if they got married and ran off together?
This should be an exciting episode!

Montana P.I.'s on the case! Thank god for that. My own investigation (which so far consists of four short but, nevertheless, devastatingly probing posts in this thread) has been going nowhere. I think if Montana P.I. were to look at the evidence, a suitable list of suspects should come together awfully thick, fast and sexily.

Hey Snrubman, I still look at the site from time to time, I just haven't posted because of a variety of factors, including that I've been talking non stop here for a long time anyway and needed to shut up a while.
Here's my all purpose catch-up post:
- I finished that book you recommended, Gil's All Fright Diner, you were right it was a lot of fun. Nothing groundbreakingly original but a good read.
- The Black Donnellys is formulaic mush but so is most of TV. At least it has a decent cast and look to it.
- Poor, poor Claire-bear.
- You, Tony, Littlebigshot, and Libs should make myspace pages. For no other reason than I suggest it. I almost added Bradley but I'm not sure the world is ready for that.
- Jack Nicholson should have won best supporting actor for his best work since the 70s, and Ellen was bland as always. Other than that, a decent Oscars.
- Despite this post the world does need a new investigation by Montana P.I. of something.

Wow... just the thought of hiring Montana PI solves the case. Amazing.
On another note, why did you read a book? You're aware that they have TV and movies now, right?
I'm still a little scared of myspace. My wife has it, and I'm waiting to see if anything bad happens to her first before I take the plunge. If she doesn't get molested soon, I may not bother with even putting a page up.

Littlebigshot = ben bangbala, a pal of mine from university.
Dr Jam = Stu, a pal of mine i've known since high school. He went to Oxford - hence his very brilliant, incisive and well-written posts so far.

Gil's All Fright Diner's a great book. Really fun in a can't put down, but nevertheless shit kinda way. It's the kind of book you can see being made as a film, but one that would be lost in translation. Aka, Buffy The Vampire Slayer style. Nevertheless, I never claimed it was groundbreaking, merely great fun to read. For a truly magnificent read, I suggest Carter Beats The Devil by Glen David Gold, my favourite book of the last decade.
I plan on making a myspace page in the next couple of days. I've avoided it for the longest time for a multitude of reasons... I just don't like the idea of future employers googling me and finding a blog about naked overweight men. Nevertheless, I figure I should be myself and join you lot.
'Anywhoo, what's the real reason behind your lack of posting, I suspect it's more than just 'I've been talking non stop here for a long time anyway and needed to shut up a while.'.

Damn it Tony,
I was reading this thread and started laughing out loud at your posts. I forgot I was in class, people looked at me funny.
