OMG we had the biggest thunderstorm I've ever lived through tonight. Bigger than those of the Seychelles for sure and those are BIG storms.

I counted over 200 instances of lightning, nearly all of them fork. And that stuff about lightning never striking twice in the same place is piffle, We saw it hit a mast 6 times in a row! One hit so close to home that a tile fell off of the roof of the house across from us when the thunder came.

Seriously I love these storms but this was was so crazy it was kind of scary. Its still going on, except the worst is gone. My net and power went out for a while.

Its been humid all day here and by about 3pm thunder had started on and off. The streets are flooded here.

I like them.

Probably the best thing about Tampa is the fact that it is the lightning capital of the world. I especially love the purple lightning we get in the summer.... heat lighting.... goes on all night, nearly every night.

Of course, with the big storms that we pick up from the Gulf, we get storms with thousands of strikes per hour. I absolutely love it.....

We purposely built my house with HUGE windows (because we like high energy costs!) so we could lay around on summer nights and watch the sky.

bLURGGHHRRHR its still going on. This has been a 5pm-11pm storm. It's cut out my power 4 times.

here it's only been going since about 8.30 til 11.00.

Because i just got home from work, and it started to go all dark on us.
