well its a beautiful desing!
but i think its a little to ridiculous to make it that HUGE just for a memorial!! and make it the tallest building in the world!
its very unnesesery to make it that big!
and i feel its another potencial terrorist target! :?
that just my opinion!

I think that is part of the point.

Same here! I love skyscrapers and this one looks beautiful.
I am still sad that I never got to go to NYC while the original WTC was still standing

i was on the highest floor of the WTC around 1 week before sep 11 2001
(almost on the last day of my vacation to NY during that summer)
then i travel back to lebanon, and i was simply stupified to see the towers crumbling on TV

I don't think there is anyway in hell ANYBODY in America is EVER again going to let someone hijack a plane and run it into a building. Hijacking in America is OVER after 9-11. That was a one-shot deal. Terrorists might blow up a plane, but they'll never be able to hijack one and drive it where they want to again - not without killing EVERYONE on board.
Otherwise, it will be the Pennsylvania flight over and over again.

Freaky!
The only really skyscrapers I have seen were in one of Paris' modern districts and of course in Frankfurt, the 70th tallest skyscraper in the world. But that's it so far. I really need a trip to NYC.
Also, I have seen Chicago's Sears Tower, but that was from a plane.
Here is a nice list of the tallest:
