 School is so frustrating!
Ok, I know that you don't care, but I just need to rant now and get off some steam, seriously. My fall vacations have ended on November 2nd. Now the week before my vacations have started was probably the most tense week in my entire school life. In that week I had to take finals in both of my majors, English and Social Science. Since this is my last year of school, the finals obviously don't get easier and the grades count more than they ever did. The last two years of school in Germany is really the only thing that counts in the end grades-wise. So I had these two finals to study for and God, that was a lot to study. I had the English final first and two days after it, the Social Science final. The problem is that the Social Science final always requires much more studying than the English one, so tghe English one was just an obstacle. Well, somehow I managed and took those finals after some sleepless nights and hours and hours of typing and online research.
Well, now my vacations are over....and all the other finals come upon me. On my first day of school after the vacations I had a final in Math. Isn't it great? I mean, that's the best thing that can happen to anyone, to have a math final on the very first day after the vacations. BLEH! :x
Well, I pulled an all-nighter to study for it, somehow managed to take it and it went pretty well. Well, today, on the next day after the Math final I had a big vocabulary test in Latin which made me pull another all-nighter. It would all be "fine"...if I didn't have a final in Latin tomorrow which requires the third all-nighter in a row! Seriously...I mean, c'mon, a Latin test today and a Latin final tomorrow. Ok, so after that I can lay back and relax...? WRONG!
Next Monday I have a final in Physics which I am generally not good at and the fact that beause our teacher was sick often many classes were cancelled doesn't help us either. And on the day after the Physics final (next Tuesday) I have a final in History. But if that wasn't enough I need to prepare a presentation about the Cuba missle crisis for History, for next Monday! Not like it has anything to do with the final that we have the day after....argh. And the last, but not least, I need to read a pretty long narration by Franz Kafka until the upcoming Friday, for my German class aaaaaand....there is another test in Latin next Thursday.
Wooo-freaking-hooo!
Done ranting.

Ranting is ok! It's a great stress reliever even if you don't feel it! As bad a things are for you right now, I know you'll get through it and through it well!
School may seem like the worst of the worst right now because so much of the actions that you take now can steer the course of your future directions! Just relax and trust in yourself and your abilities to succeed.
In a few years, you'll look back on this time and know that it was not so terrible after all!

School sux.
It is only bearable due to the presence of alchohol and women, with more emphasis on the first one.

Looks like we have a couple of MODS who don't have positive outlooks on life.
Also, I didn't read the thread cause it was too ranting or rambling but scholl is a breeze to the pressures and responsibilities that come after the free ride you get in school.
School is the best time of your life. Party hard. You will never realize how good you had it. Party harder.

Me neither, especially after my third all-nighter in a row. Sleep deprivation to the extreme.

Yeah and it aint pretty. I had two finals and a big test inbetween, therefore the all-nighters. *sigh*

Very true, but I somehow can't get that into my head while studying Latin for hours in my third sleepless night in a row.

I hope it'll get better soon. Congrats at the great grades, though.

It has gotten much better in the last days, but next weks my finals start all over again. I have 6 finals before Christmas (English, Physics, Social Science, Latin, History and Math). Two of them are next week. :?
On a happier note, I started getting grades and these are very good for German standards. We have a grading system of 0-15 points with 15 being the very best (A+). As far as my finals go, I got 15 pts. in Social Science, 14 pts. in Latin, 13 pts. in English 12 pts. in each History and Physics and 11 pts. in Math. Then we got our "oral grades" for participation in clas( yes, it does sound dirty, I know ). Got 15 pts. for that in English and 11 pts. in Physics. So far it is my best semester in like 3-4 years, but I doubt I'll be the lucky with the upcoming finals.

Trust me y'all try work and school is going to seem like heaven. In fact, I spent two years out of school and came back begging for more.
Its tough in younger grades cause you don't get to pick and choose so much, but college was great. I got to spend time writing about things I actually care about. Much better than some of my past jobs writing about things other people care about. That authorship has pride and potential.
I'm going into finals now too, and while the idea of image identification sucks, at least when I pulled an all-nighter last night it was to write about something I find really interesting.
School = much >>>> "Real World"
Wait and see.....

I know that I'll miss school once I graduate next year. Heck, I already start missing it now. But still, when it comes to finals, I can't make myself think of how good school actually is

I live at Rock Bottom. People step over me all the time. There is no low below me. If I was any lower, I would be in hell or China, whichever came first.
