Hey All! How has the week been going? Just got back from a day and a half trip to Niagara Falls. Haven't been there since I was so young I can't remember. Those are some big falls, I must say.

Christian wrote: Which side were you on Galia? I just got home What a loooong day (work/class). Both! Without a passport, either. That has to be the most porous border I have ever witnessed. I only had my license because I didn't even think about the whole Canadian Niagara side. But when my sister and I got there, there was a nice little walk on the US side that we took and then backtracked and tried to cross this bridge over into Canada on foot because we saw other people doing it. There wasn't even anyone on the American side checking us, and on the Canadian side when I said I didn't have a passport because I hadn't really planned on crossing, they were like, "Well, ok. You can go anyways." Then we went and walked up and down looking at the falls from the Canadian side. Then we went to some casino over there for some drinks and to play ten bad hands of blackjack. We suck at it, so we were just going for the experience, not because we thought we could win any money. Anyways, we were having fun until the dealer switched off and this new guy comes on and in ten second he tells us that we're too excited about our cards (i.e. we should take this game seriously instead of making it into a party) and that we needed to go to church more because of it. So my sister said we were jewish and we walked off the table then and there. Seriously, who tells you that you shouldn't be enjoying yourself so much at a casino in a tourist hotspot? Thats just asking for you to actually pay attention to the fact that you're losing money. So, he saved us the 60 bucks we had left in chips that we would have played until we lost it all. It was after ten pm by then though and we were worried we wouldn't be able to get any wine that late before returning to our campsite. So the duty-free was still open and we purchased wine and then we crossed back over the bridge...carrying booze! On the Canadian side there was no one to check us and we each just had to put a quarter into an unattended turnstyle and walk on across the bridge. This time on the American side there was someone and he asked me where my passport was. I said I didn't have one but that Canada let me over earlier in the day. So then they just let me back on through...no passport....late at night...with liquer. So weird. Anyways, it was fun. I really liked the falls in a cheesy kind of way. The lights they shine on them at night are a fun touch. They are pretty and the park trail there is nice to walk for a couple miles. Next morning we picnicked further up the river in a pretty spot and then I went back to the airport and my sister continued on to Toronto in her car. Christian, why did you have such a long day?

 Re: Ye Olde Pube
If you were black and had 40lbs of muscle on you i doubt the border would have been quite as porous.
