your "friends"

On a website?
Seriously?

Why am I not surprised that you judge people based upon their interactions with people you know rather than directly with you.

I just messaged loyal asking him to close my account. Ciao all.

It's be largely not fun. At all.
But hey, whatever.
Speak to the people who matter on msn anyway. The rest of you can have your smug little moment of satisfaction now, because i know this kind of thing matters to you.

I love how the only thing either one of you could come up with is to attack my choice of using the word "friend" to describe people I enjoy talking to, both on and off the boards.

getluv, why don't you follow Michael on his way out. You seem to be pretty damn good at it anyway.

Because even though this is a paradise for snobs, there isn't many other places where my laptop will be safe.

We are not the same person. Sometimes the administration of this site reminds me of the administration people came here to escape.

I got that far. That's it? Man, you guys (all of you) should only wish you were so close to someone that everywhere you went you were associated with them. I love being an identical twin, more than anything else in the world...actually.

And as to "tangable" friends. I assure you, I'm much closer to some people here than those whom I'm in physical proximity to. Most people whom are an arm's length away are usually just about the proper distance to slap.

I think everyone needs a big hug and to turn on their internal monologues on occassion.

Some liquor might help too.

That being said Galia, many people on this site continue to crucify people they dislike. These people often associate themselves with the 'Who's who' of this site. I loved Michael because he brang a sense of humour that I regard as escapism. Not many people enjoyed his sense of humour. It was quite obvious many people were bullying Michael for their own amusement. I had a big problem with this, because I often think many people bitch and make fun of me because they think i'm an easy target. There is a huge clique problem on this site.

I only appreciate a few users now, typically because they add something to this site other than snobbery. Dolce you are one of these people. I always search you're latest posts and see what movies you recommend. Keep it up. Your presence is something i appreciate around here.

Haha! Good job. You searched out that post so quickly that I didn't even get to delete it time.

I wouldn't take who hangs with who to seriously. Most of it is in the mind, though everyone does have the people they come to a site for (me included). Interestingly enough, that's why I'm feeling pretty down today. I always go to these training sessions with everyone that started the wave with me, and never quite feel like I fit in or relate, etc, etc. I usually have to shake myself a bit and realize c'est la vie, and its only as a big a deal as I make of it. Big deal..so I don't get along with a couple people.

The converse is that they don't get along with me either, and I spend enough time wondering why I worry about being accepted by a group of people that I wouldn't otherwise relate to in the first place. Its like fighting your way into the center of talkng ring in recess as a kid and then realizing you didn't want to be there in the first place. That you'd prefer to just hang out with your friend or two in the corner and have a good time. The cross is only as hot as you make it.

So yeah. The short of it is. I'd rather just hang out with my family and the one or two people I am comfortable around than sit around trying to warm up some people who I've not felt comfortable with all year despite numerous efforts. (See, I did say being a twin and being that close to someone was the best thing ever, and not to mind it at all). I don't know where this is going...I haven't slept in a couple of days and am depressed and overwhlemed out of my mind. So make what you will of the above meanderings....

I suppose your right. However bullying (even indirect insults) is something I'm not going to tolerate. I know I can get nasty, but people shouldn't read too much into that.

Dolce i understand your current state of depression. I'm having one at the moment, but for different reasons. You should go and see Poseidon for a good laugh.

Edit. This can go to PM. Nobody will like what I have to say. Probably for a good reason.

Seriously, I want to see XMen and just have good fun. I've had no time to see a movie though (hence why I didn't review a new movie this past weekend).

I think everyone here is just being a bit melodramatic today (and not that I don't love me some quality drama, hell I stirred some up in my mind today all my own and ended up paying the consequences for it). Hopefully we'll all eventually simmer down and get back to chatting about Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man, Prairie Home Companion, and Little Miss Sunshine soon.

No, you confused Poseidon with Xmen. See, X was just mediocre. You'll be frustrated and far from entertained. P.O.S.eidon, on the other hand, is so remarkably inane and goofy that you will be falling out your seat cracking up. The best comedy of the year.

Go see your XMen... but don't wine to me when you want a refund. You are right about Little Miss Sunshine, though. It can't come soon enough.

Speaking of which, we have a cardboard standee for the film and it needs to be spoken for, or it will be destroyed soon enough. I don't think I can fit it in my room, as its about 7ft. tall. Shame.

I'm with Dolce. I think hugs and liquor should clear this whole thing up.

Michael, you've left once before and I was a wreck for days. Don't make me go through that again!
