I'm actually studying. Lazily, but still. AIM would kill that, murder it.

Ah, yes, I remember doing that. Fucking hated it.
I woke up at 6am only to have the system be so slow that I didn't get to sign up for anything until like 10 or 11am, by which time the courses I wanted were taken.

All this thread accomplished is making me yearn for this: And this: If I die of aspartame cancer in 30 years, fat from too much carrot cake, I will condemn you with my last breath. Slightly more on topic... running after a 9 month old boy that's discovering how to use his legs way too early counts as a form of workout, right?

 Re: KJers Workout Tracking Thread
Managed to motivate to do half my strengthening and stretching exercises this morning. I try to do two sets but only got through one today. Then I was suddenly gripped at 7 to go on a 4 mile jog, which I am surprised I survived because my legs are definitely still recovering from Saturday. I trodded along at snail pace, my legs felt like lead, but I didn't actually stop and walk. Really, I just wanted to listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers on my ipod and needed an excuse! Probably won't do much for the next few days, but I feel ok right now and my back is definitely loosening up from the strengthening/stretches and starting to exercise again after a 5 years hiatus.

That's awesome girl! Good for you. I went on a much shorter run than usual this morning (only 2 miles) because it's SO HOT outside. Ugh gross.

 Re: KJers Workout Tracking Thread
I did nothing today. I was going to go to the gym but it started pouring. So I started packing for school (I decided I'd rather pack early + go out Friday or Saturday than do nothing all week + pack Friday and Saturday).
Hahaha, and yes, I definitely need an excuse to listen to RHCP, as awesome as some of their songs are. That was totally a 2001 thing for me.

I can never get myself to jog in the morning. It always seems more humid, hotter, and just generally grosser out in the mornings than in the evenings. I also just can't get my energy up in the morning. Need a couple cups of coffee, which is not the greatest thing to have freshly poured into your system when you want to exercise. I always go in the evenings around 6.30 or 7 and its much better. @torri - Yeah, I just wanted to hear music and jump around, but my place isn't really set up for it, so off to the park I went. Weirdly enough, I've been contemplating taking my headphones to the park and just dancing around to that Breaking the Girl song (which is what I was really in the mood to do today) but I figure people will think I'm weird and I probably really would look silly. Maybe it was watching Dirty Dancing last night and wanting to just kind of do split leaps or whatnot? Jogging, I guess, is the only alternative.

 Re: KJers Workout Tracking Thread
I never thought you'd be the kind of person to have an iPod....and to have RHCP on it. I remember five years ago that you had a Top 100 songs list filled with opera.
My favorites are probably...Soul to Squeeze and Scar Tissue.

My favorites are probably...Soul to Squeeze and Scar Tissue. I almost get frightened now when I see people running without iPods. I'm like, "They're from another planet yikes!" I've been running pretty much every day since I was like 15 but it really clears my head still, and running with my music helps even more.

 Re: KJers Workout Tracking Thread
I can't run with my iPod anymore. I don't have an armband for my iPod Touch (and, unlike my nano, it'll totally fall out of my pocket)
Though, I never run anyway. I'm more of a bike person, but my favorite is the Cybex Arc Trainer thingy (kinda like an elliptical).

My favorites are probably...Soul to Squeeze and Scar Tissue. If it makes you feel any easier, I went to opening night of La Traviata at the Glimmerglass Opera only a few weeks ago. I think RHCP is one of the only 'classic' rock bands in recent decades that really adds to the list of the rock band greats rather than getting dwarfed by their predecessors. They're actually really good, but I only know three of their albums, so weigh my words against that.

 Re: KJers Workout Tracking Thread
Stadium Arcadium kinda sucked. They reused chords, tempos, and song structure...on the same album. I saw Turandot in May. I used to go to the opera when I was little (we had season tickets -- I was an odd five-year-old ) but Turandot was the first I had seen since god knows what. I'd like to go to the Met one of these days... My favorite as a kid was always Barber of Seville, because it's by Ross-ini (haha). Now, it'd probably be one of the Puccinis. Or maybe Norma.

How long, how long will I slide Separate my side I don't, I don't believe it's bad Slittin' my throat it's all I ever
I heard your voice through a photograph I thought it up and brought up the past Once you've known, you can never go back I've got to take it on the other side
Love RHCP.
