The problem with the animal/human debate is that people think that their dominion over the earth means that we are entitled to do what we want to whatever we want as long as it is not human. That is a very sick and disturing way of looking at things. I'm all for the consumption of animals for food if it is done somewhat humanely. But to bury something alive, no matter how superior you think you are, is about as barbaric and draconian as you can get, and it is wrong.

Would it make it better if I said that I would rather shoot them and eat them and then build a Wal-Mart where they used to live?

Well that's fine by me as well. I just becaume cautious after I read Roid's article about poisonous turtles. Hmm.
I ate frog in the summer. 'twas good.
